  • Patent number: 11987344
Abstract: An electromechanical rudder system control using electromagnetic actuators provides dual redundancy to comply with safety demands. Diversity of possible interconnection distribution allows the manufacturer to choose the proper configuration to satisfy aircraft safety design, hardware savings and overall system quality improvements. A dual channel rudder system architecture includes reconfigurable electronic controllers used to control plural electromechanical primary actuators for rudder control, and a distribution of aircraft and cockpit sensors through the electronic controllers to guarantee minimum required safety standards in case of loss of input data. The plural electromechanical actuators driving a rudder surface are arranged in independent and redundant load paths.

  • Patent number: 11930123
Abstract: Digital certificates are generated for devices by a Certificate Authority (CA), which communicates with devices via another entity—registration authority (RA)—so that the CA and RA cannot associate certificates with devices. Each certificate is associated with a public signature key, and with a public encryption key used by CA to encrypt the certificate to hide it from the RA. Both keys are derived by CA from a single key. For example, the signature key can be derived from the public encryption key rather than generated independently. However, high security is obtained even when the CA does not sign the encrypted certificate. Reduced bandwidth and computational costs are obtained as a result. Other embodiments are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11915150
Abstract: Systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products that can facilitate refinement of a predicted event based on explainability data are provided. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise an interpreter component that identifies a probable cause of a predicted event based on explainability data. The computer executable components can further comprise an enrichment component that executes a diagnostic analysis based on the probable cause.

  • Patent number: 11895250
Abstract: To revoke a digital certificate, activation of the digital certificate is blocked by withholding an activation code from the certificate user. The certificates are generated by a plurality of entities in a robust process that preserves user privacy (e.g. anonymity) even in case of collusion of some of the entities. The process is suitable for connected vehicles, e.g. as an improvement for Security Credential Management System (SCMS).

  • Publication number: 20240035605
Abstract: A fuel line coupling component (e.g., for aircraft fuel lines) allow for axial, rotational and radial displacements. The fuel line coupling component includes outer and inner tubular members with each having coaxially aligned pairs of coaxially sleeved tubular sections that are coaxially displaceable relative to one another. A pair of terminal end connectors includes a journalled connection assembly with the respective opposed distal ends of the outer and inner tubular members to thereby allow simultaneous rotational movements of the outer and inner tubular members about a longitudinal axis thereof and simultaneous radial displacements of outer an inner tubular members relative to a reference plane. C-clamps associated with fuel tank fittings and band clamps allow coupling of the fuel line coupling component to the fuel tank fittings and thereby fluid-connect aircraft fuel tanks (e.g., the aircraft main and auxiliary fuel tanks).

  • Publication number: 20230397360
Abstract: The present invention refers to a data center module formed from prefabricated and transportable segments, such module being constructed by joining two substantially symmetrical halves, each half being constituted by joining one or more of its respective prefabricated and transportable segments. The invention also refers to a construction method of said module, wherein the segments are manufactured apart and transported individually as standard cargo to the data center construction location. The end of one segment is joined to the other end of the adjacent segment forming the first half; the same process occurs for joining the segments of the second half. After the formation of the halves, they are joined to form the module. The data center is formed by the side-by-side arrangement of the modules. The invention also refers to a construction method of the data center, comprising construction of a housing by inserting the segments in said housing and arranging said modules side by side.

  • Patent number: 11833616
Abstract: A method for creating an iridescent effect on a surface through formation of wavelets on the source can include using a pulse of laser beams sent to the surface in juxtaposed optical fields of a focusing system. A scanner scans the surface using laser beams along a series of lines that follow each other in a relative direction of travel of the part and of the scanner and a series of lines that lie in continuation of each other in a direction perpendicular to the relative direction of travel. The optical fields overlap in an overlapping area having a width that is twice the diameter of the pulse laser beam up to 2 cm. Two lines lying in continuation of each other overlap at a junction and between the two series of lines follow each other in a relative direction of travel of the part and the scanner.

  • Patent number: 11829788
Abstract: When human users traverse physical space or traverse computer software, they take “navigational paths.” Some embodiments of the present invention are directed to machine logic for identifying a favorable navigation paths by monitoring physical or computer software navigation paths used by human users as they use a set of computer program(s). This favorable navigation path, through physical space or the logic of the set of computer program(s), can then be suggested to future users who want to navigate from a similar starting point to a similar end point.

  • Patent number: 11815215
Abstract: A pig routing insert or drain is used in various subsea systems having a block structure, e.g., block manifolds, with a plurality of perforated fluid passages. The insert generally includes a substantially unrestricted flow opening configured to allow substantially unrestricted fluid flow and passage of a cleaning pig, and a partially restricted opening having at least one pig blocking structure, in which the partially restricted opening is configured to allow substantially unrestricted fluid flow through the partially restricted opening whilst blocking the passage of the cleaning pig through the partially restricted opening. A method for manufacturing and installing the pig routing insert or drain in a machined block manifold includes positioning a manufactured pig routing insert at an intersection of first and second perforated fluid flow holes formed in a body of a structure and fastening the manufactured pig routing insert within the intersection in the body.

  • Patent number: 11601263
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a tree-based key management protocol with enhanced computational and bandwidth efficiency. A tree structure including a plurality of nodes is formulated according to modules in a vehicle. A group key and a blinded key are computed for a leaf node from the plurality of nodes based at least in part on a multiplication operation defined in an ecliptic curve group. Or a group key and a blinded key are recursively computed for a non-leaf node based at least in part on a key derivation function and the multiplication operation involving a group key and a blinded key corresponding to nodes that is one level down to the non-leaf node.

  • Patent number: 11587440
Abstract: While it is well known to power traffic control devices (for example, traffic lights) by an alternative energy source during power outages, some embodiments of the present invention additionally have: (i) a set of control computer(s), remote from the various traffic control devices, that is powered by an alternative energy source during a power outage; and/or (ii) a communication network, for communications between the set of control computer(s) and the various traffic control devices, that is powered by an alternative power source during a power outage. The use of alternative power to power the control computer(s) (for example, a hub) and/or the communication network allows the traffic control devices to continue to operate in a coordinated manner as instructed by the control computers, thereby avoiding a situation where the traffic lights begin operating independently of each other during a power outage.
