  • Patent number: 10413383
Abstract: A multi-diameter drill bit for implant bed preparation is provided. The drill bit has a drill shank that can be coupled with a driving tool to transfer drilling torques and forces to a drill body distal to the drill shank and a drill tip distal to the drill body. The drill body is divided into a first cylindrical portion having a first diameter and a second cylindrical portion having a second diameter. The drill tip is connected to the first cylindrical portion of the drill body and defines multiple first land areas and multiple cutting lips each at least partially bordering a respective first land areas. The second diameter is greater than the first diameter to define a plurality of faces of second lands at the interface between the first cylindrical portion and the second cylindrical portion, for reducing friction between the drill bit and surrounding bone tissue.

  • Patent number: 9925018
Abstract: A method for producing a drilling jig to drill a drill hole in a jaw of a patient to insert a tooth implant therein includes providing a prosthesis with an individualized part and a standardized plate part. The prosthesis is adapted to and placed on the at least one of the jaw and teeth of the patient. A three-dimensional digital jaw model is created. The tooth implant is designed and digitally constructed in the three-dimensional digital jaw model. A drilling model is formed with a drilling model drill channel using the three-dimensional digital jaw model showing the planned tooth implant. The drilling model is mounted on the prosthesis. A prosthesis drill channel is drilled into the prosthesis in alignment with the drilling model drill channel to form the drilling jig for drilling the drill hole in the jaw of the patient for the tooth implant.

  • Patent number: 9039417
Abstract: A jaw implant includes an implant body comprising a top end, a base end, an axial line, an acute-angled long side, an obtuse-angled short side, a body core. An oval opening disposed at the top end comprises an opening edge lying in an opening plane inclined with an angle of inclination of 75° to 45° with respect to the axial line so that the implant body has an axial length on the acute-angled long side longer than on the obtuse-angled short side. An external thread structure comprises a lead comprising a lower side facing the base end, an upper side facing the top end, and a wedge angle disposed between the upper side and the lower side. A bisecting line of the wedge angle and the axial line of the implant body form a tilt angle which is smaller on the acute-angled long side than on the obtuse-angled short side.

  • Patent number: 8845328
Abstract: A jaw-mounted dental implant with an implant body. The implant body includes an attachment fastening structure arranged in the implant body which fastens an implant attachment on an implant body longitudinal end facing away from a jaw. An attachment plane is arranged at the implant body longitudinal end facing away from the jaw and is inclined at an attachment angle ? of 75° to 45° relative to an implant body longitudinal axis. A support structure projects outward from an implant body outer surface on a longitudinal end of an implant body bone portion facing away from the jaw. The support structure is formed by at least one support web arranged in a web plane. The web plane is interrupted by an interruption region arranged in a circumferential direction at an obtuse-angle side of the implant body so as to not extend around an entire circumference of the implant body.

  • Patent number: 8831322
Abstract: A method for generating a radiologic three-dimensional digital volume tomography image of a patient's body part includes fixing a marker support to the patient's body part. The marker support is provided with a non-radioopaque support body in which a plurality of radioopaque marker elements are affixed. A nominal size S and/or a nominal distance D of the radioopaque marker elements to each other is known. The body part is image recorded with a digital volume tomography device so as to generate a three-dimensional raw image of the patient's body part. A size S? and/or a distance D? of the radioopaque marker elements in the three-dimensional raw image is measured. An aberration value is generated by comparing the size S? and/or the distance D? with the respective nominal size S and/or the nominal distance D of the radiopaque marker elements. The three-dimensional raw image is corrected with the aberration value.
