Publication number: 20220062506Abstract: A skin patch having dermal, epidermal, or adipose cell fibroblasts seeded on both the stromal and epithelial side of a scaffold. The scaffold may be an amniotic or collagen membrane or the like. A skin or adipose sample is collected from the patient and enzymatically treated and cultured providing dermal or adipose fibroblasts. The fibroblasts are seeded on the first side of the scaffold and after about 3 hours the second side of the scaffold is seeded. The seeded scaffold may be applied to a patient's wound after about 24-48 hours. This method allows a small one-centimeter by one-centimeter sample of a patient's own skin to grow a patch of skin that is one hundred times larger than the initial sample within as few as three days. This skin graft is made up of cells that were originally from the same patient and creates skin tissues that are genetically identical to the patient.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 26, 2021Publication date: March 3, 2022Inventors: Marcus Baker, Ryan Christopher Dregalla

Patent number: 8282308Abstract: A fastener (11) in the form of a strip (12) of material in the form of a ring which in plan view is profiled to conform to an annular gap (H) between a first component (A) bounded by the fastener (11) and a second component (B) bounding the fastener (11); the ring member having ends providing a gap (G) in plan view; the strip of material having a first side (14) and a second side (15); and having a series of integral fingers (16-23) spaced along the length of the ring and projecting, in plan view, outwardly from the ring whether from the first side (14), the second side (15), or both sides thereof. In a further version the ring includes a further series of discrete projections formed integrally from the strip and lying around the ring member in between members of the series of fingers.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2005Date of Patent: October 9, 2012Assignee: Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Rencol LimitedInventors: Andrew Robert Slayne, Christopher Mark Needes, Marcus Baker

Patent number: 8186904Abstract: A combination mounting ring of resilient material, for connecting a shaft within a bore of a housing, has a hollow cylindrical part having radially extending projections. This part is for locating between the outer surface of the shaft and the inner surface of the bore, the radially extending projections being under compression and thus securing the shaft within the bore. The combination mounting ring further has an axial spring element extending radially inward from the cylindrical part and having two portions at different axial positions. The axial spring element is for locating between the shaft and a body axially displaced from the shaft, and serves to minimize axial movement of the shaft within the bore of the housing. The axial spring element may either be an annular part or a tab extending from an axial edge of the cylindrical part.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2010Date of Patent: May 29, 2012Assignee: Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Rencol LimitedInventors: Antony Snadden, Marcus Baker

Patent number: 7922418Abstract: A mounting assembly comprising mating inner and outer components (36, 38) mounted together using a tolerance (20) is disclosed. The tolerance ring (20) has radially extending projections (28) that are configured to cause the tolerance ring (20) to operate into the plastic phase of its compression force/retention force characteristic. This can be achieved by using softer projections than those found in conventional tolerance rings. The force required to mount the tolerance ring and a range of retention forces exhibited by it for a given variance in sizes of mating components is thereby stabilized.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2008Date of Patent: April 12, 2011Assignee: Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Rencol LimitedInventors: Marcus Baker, Andrew Slayne

Publication number: 20070143644Abstract: A receiving processor is configured with a normal (operational) path and a test path. The test path is configured in parallel with the normal path. The test path simulates and receives as input the same data as the normal path, but the test path has a separate voltage reference (Vref—test) which is applied to a test input buffer. The same data input to normal buffer is also input to the test buffer. The output of the test buffer is input to a test latch. A clocking signal supplied to the test latch is a variable clocking signal enabling the clock signal to be skewed selectively. The output of the test latch is compared with the output of the normal latch, and differences between the two output signals defines an error for a particular voltage/clock-skew combination.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2005Publication date: June 21, 2007Applicant: Interntional Business Machines CorporationInventors: Alfredo Aldereguia, Marcus Baker, Justin Bandholz, Jeffrey Williams

Publication number: 20060253749Abstract: A computer system includes a look-up table implemented in a memory controller which includes a processor which manipulates data and look-up-table entries so as to make an unused and in-use memory available for testing in a manner which is alien to and aims to minimize impact to the operating system and the main system processor. In-use memory is made available by moving in-use data to an unused area of memory within a bank, by moving in-use data to another bank having an unused area, or by compressing in-use data within a bank and moving the data to an area within the bank made available through such compression, and updating the look-up table to point to the moved areas so that memory references can continue to be serviced during the testing process. Areas made available can be tested by a non-system processor such as a service processor, although other processors can be used.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2005Publication date: November 9, 2006Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Alfredo Alderegula, William Atherton, Marcus Baker, Sheldon Sigrist, Jeffrey Williams
