  • Publication number: 20230270107
Abstract: A disinfectant composition and method of use are disclosed that is particularly effective against viruses such as the Coronavirus and Norovirus. The disinfectant composition contains a carbonate/bicarbonate salt of a quaternary ammonium compound or didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride and water. The quaternary ammonium compound is at very low concentrations while still remaining effective against viruses and hospital bacteria. The disinfectant composition can contain an anti-microbial agent at concentrations that meets the environmental protection agencies level for food tolerance. Thus, the composition can be sprayed onto an adjacent surface without having to undergo a potable water rinse.
