  • Patent number: 11154485
Abstract: The invention relates to an antiperspirant cosmetic agent which includes at least one specific chitosan and which is free of aluminum-containing compounds, in particular free of halides and/or hydroxy halides of aluminum and/or zirconium. The present invention further relates to the use of a specific chitosan and to a non-therapeutic method for reducing body perspiration. Adding or using the at least one specific chitosan ensures that the sweat gland(s) is/are effectively influenced, thus resulting in a significant reduction in underarm perspiration even in the absence of antiperspirant aluminum-containing compounds.

  • Patent number: 11096882
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to anhydrous cosmetic compositions which contain a combination of a strongly swelling and a low-swelling water-absorbing component, an odor-absorbing component and a deodorant active ingredient. These compositions have an outstanding deodorizing effect and improved sensory features and additionally result in a minimization of sweat spots on textiles. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to a cosmetic product containing these anhydrous compositions and the use of this composition or product for reduction of the body odor released by perspiration. Finally, the present disclosure relates to the use a strongly swelling water-absorbing component in combination with an odor-absorbing component to improve the sensory characteristics of anhydrous deodorant compositions.

  • Publication number: 20200390679
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an antiperspirant cosmetic composition comprising, a poly(vinylamine-vinylformamide) copolymer having a molecular weight of from about 300 to about 20,000 g/mol in a total amount of from about 0.1 to about 20% by weight, an emulsifier in a total amount of from about 0.05 to about 10% by weight, and an oil component in a total amount of from about 0.05 to about 50% by weight %. The cosmetic has a pH of from about 2.5 to about 7.5, the poly(vinylamine-vinylformamide) copolymer is neutralized or polycationic, and the cosmetic contains an anion selected from chloride, phosphates, and sulphates. The cosmetic does not contain halides and/or hydroxyhalides of aluminium and/or zirconium. These polymers make it possible to provide antiperspirant cosmetic products that do not contain aluminium salts and/or zirconium salts yet are highly effective and have less staining on textiles.
