  • Patent number: 11631991
Abstract: A method for distributing a limited amount of electrical power from an energy source to a plurality of electrical loads includes sensing and/or encoding the available electrical power of the energy source, monitoring a power balance of the loads by sensing and/or encoding the drawn power in the individual loads, and reducing the drawn power in the loads if the available power is not sufficient for supplying all the loads with the required power.

  • Publication number: 20210361455
Abstract: An orthopaedic aid with a reference element, a movement element that is movably fixed to the reference element and a position sensor for determining a position of the movement element relative to the reference element, which comprises at least one permanent magnet and at least three Hall sensors, wherein the Hall sensors are arranged on the reference element and for moving along a trajectory upon a movement of the movement element relative to the reference element, wherein the at least one permanent magnet is fixed to the movement element and wherein the Hall sensors and the permanent magnet are arranged in such a way that a movement of the movement element relative to the reference element and a resulting movement of the Hall sensors along the trajectory causes a linear change in Hall voltage for at least one Hall sensor.

  • Patent number: 9923498
Abstract: A method for operating an electric motor when at a rotational speed below or above a predetermined limit value. The method involves operating an electric motor that has a stator and a rotor, wherein the stator or the rotor has at least three segments each having at least one electromagnetic element. The method includes simultaneously de-energizing all electromagnetic elements of all segments while the rotor rotates, measuring an electrical quantity induced in the electromagnetic elements, in particular an induced voltage, for each segment, and determining a rotor position of the rotor in relation to the stator from the measured electrical quantities. An electrical current can be supplied to the electromagnetic elements such that a segment magnetic field is formed to provide a segment torque to the rotor. The intensity of the electrical current depends on a segment position of the rotor in relation to the segment.

  • Publication number: 20170170760
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for operating an electric motor. A first method is applied at a rotational speed below a predetermined limit value and a second method is applied at a rotational speed above the predetermined limit value. The first method is a method for operating an electric motor that has a stator and a rotor, wherein the stator or the rotor has at least three segments each having at least one electromagnetic element. The first method comprises the following steps: a) simultaneously de-energizing all electromagnetic elements of all segments while the rotor rotates, b) measuring an electrical quantity induced in the electromagnetic elements, in particular an induced voltage, for each segment, and c) determining a rotor position of the rotor in relation to the stator from the measured electrical quantities.

  • Patent number: 6854021
Abstract: Method and apparatus for sending data from one partition to a second partition within a logically partitioned computer. In a data processing system having multiple logical partitions, a send queue is established in the first logical partition, and a receive queue is established in the second logical partition. The send queue is registered in the send queue in a lookup table available to all of the logical partitions. The send queue is registered using as a key the logical partition identification of the first logical partition and the subchannel number (LPAR-ID.SUBCHANNEL#) of the subchannel assigned to the partition. The receive queue is registered in the lookup table using as a key, the internet protocol address of the receive queue in the second partition. A send instruction from the first logical partition is executed which interrogates the lookup table using the LPAR-ID.
