Patent number: 9555805Abstract: A method of releasing a stuck vehicle, in which a stuck situation is recognized and a rocking-free process is initiated and continued until the rocking-free process is suppressed. The rocking-free process is suppressed either after the activation of a parking brake of the vehicle, which was inactive at the beginning of and during the rocking-free process, for a predetermined time interval, or after the registration of a limit value of a deflection of a drive pedal of the vehicle and after the limit value of the deflection of the drive pedal is maintained or exceeded for a predetermined time interval, or after a vehicle speed falls to almost zero km/h, a minimum actuation of a drive pedal of the vehicle is registered, the vehicle speed is maintained for a predetermined time interval and the minimum actuation is maintained for the predetermined time interval.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2015Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignee: ZF Friedrichshafen AGInventors: Roland Mair, Marcus Haug, Florian Schneider, Andreas Heinzler

Patent number: 9217504Abstract: A shift control method for an automated transmission of a motor vehicle. The transmission has an input shaft that is connectable, via a separator clutch, to an engine driveshaft. An output shaft is connected with the axle transmission of a drive axle or with a transfer box, and starting gears are engagable by gear clutches. When tooth-on-tooth positions occurs at the associated gear clutch, during engagement of a starting gear while the vehicle is stationary, such tooth-on-tooth positioning is resolved with maximum comfort. The method provides that when a tooth-on-tooth position exists at the gear clutch of the starting gear, engagement of the gear clutch is first interrupted, then drive torque is applied to the input shaft or a transmission shaft in driving connection therewith to rotate the input-side clutch half of the gear clutch, and the drive torque is then eliminated before the engagement of the gear clutch continues.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2014Date of Patent: December 22, 2015Assignee: ZF Friedrichshafen AGInventors: Marcus Haug, Benjamin Berger, Florian Schneider

Publication number: 20150291169Abstract: A method of releasing a stuck vehicle with a rocking-free process which continues until the process is suppressed. The process is suppressed after a differential lock, closed at the beginning of the process, remains open for a predetermined time, or after reaching and maintaining a clutch load limit for a predetermined time, or after reaching a limit transmission gear, and maintaining the limit value for a predetermined time, or after registering the wheel rotational directions while a transmission gear engages, and after a predetermined time, in which the registered wheel rotational direction corresponds to a required direction for the gear engaged, or after a transmission gear is engaged, a transmission condition is maintained for a predetermined time, engaging a clutch for the predetermined time, a wheel speed difference limit value is reached, and the wheel speed difference remains at or falls below the speed difference limit value for the predetermined time.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 13, 2015Publication date: October 15, 2015Inventors: Roland MAIR, Marcus HAUG, Florian SCHNEIDER, Andreas HEINZLER

Publication number: 20150291170Abstract: A method for releasing a vehicle from a recognized stuck condition including initiating a rocking-free process which is continued until the rocking-free process is automatically discontinued. The rocking-free process is discontinued after the registration and persistence of a vehicle movement for a predetermined time span while, at the same time, vehicle acceleration is registered for the predetermined time span, the extremes of the acceleration during the time span lie within a band-width-limited vehicle acceleration function range whose limits correspond almost to the global extremes of the vehicle's acceleration, or after reaching and maintaining or exceeding a vehicle speed limit value for a predetermined time span and reaching or exceeding a steering path limit value during the predetermined time span, or after the activation of a door switch which was inactive before the beginning of the rocking-free process and maintaining the switch active for a predetermined time span.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 13, 2015Publication date: October 15, 2015Inventors: Roland MAIR, Marcus HAUG, Florian SCHNEIDER, Andreas HEINZLER

Patent number: 8505161Abstract: A road sweeper is provided with a rotatingly drivable sweeping brush, a sweepings container, a suction blower in flow communication with the sweeping brush for taking in dust-containing air, and at least one filter for separating dust from the air drawn in, wherein the filter can be acted upon on the clean side with external air stored in a pressure container and subject to pressure, via at least one external air valve for cleaning. In order for the filter to be cleaned off with as small an amount of external air as possible, the pressure container can have a pressure container wall located opposite the clean side of the at least one filter, the at least one external air valve being arranged on the wall, wherein a section of a suction conduit extends between the pressure container wall and the clean side of the filter.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2012Date of Patent: August 13, 2013Assignee: Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Roland Schick, Andreas Kral, Peter Knebel, Uwe Weller, Nikolaus Kocher, Marcus Haug
