  • Patent number: 11111899
Abstract: An axial piston machine of oblique axis design has a pivot angle that is adjustable via a set piston and a control valve and includes a first valve slide that is linearly movable relative to a first valve axis and is connected at two opposite ends to a first or a second fluid port. The first valve slide has a central region that defines a control point at which the lower of pressures at the first and second fluid ports act. The control point is connected via a fixed first throttle and a second throttle to a housing interior. A second valve slide that is linearly movable relative to a second valve axis is configured to adjust the second throttle. The first valve axis is arranged between the set piston and the control valve or a region of the control valve and is oriented transverse to the adjusting axis.

  • Patent number: 11105320
Abstract: A control plate, for alternatingly fluidically connecting hydrostatic operating chambers, in particular of an oblique axis type axial piston machine, with pressure medium connections, includes a first end face, a second end face, at least a first recess, a first kidney-like control opening, and at least one through-recess. The first face extends transversely to a rotation axis. The second face faces away from the first face. The first recess is bounded in the first end face by the first control opening, and at least partially forms the at least one through recess, which extends toward the second end face from the first end face at an end portion of the first control opening, and which is arranged in or counter to a rotation direction of the rotation axis. An oblique axis construction type axial piston machine includes such a control plate.

  • Patent number: 10502323
Abstract: A shut-off valve for integration into an intelligent gas meter for residential or industrial gas supply, has an inlet, an outlet and a valve seat having a lip seal. A shut-off body is longitudinally displaceable with respect to the valve by a motor driven transmission, using a nut-threaded-spindle drive, to engage with or disengage from, the seal to open or close the valve. The transmission of the valve remains largely unbiased in the closed state while maintaining the gas-tightness of the valve.

  • Patent number: 10394974
Abstract: A profile of porosities and permeabilities calculated from several sample volumes in a system can speed up computational fluid dynamics (CFDs). Heterogeneous fluid flow paths can be calculation intense, limiting the accuracy of fluid-path models. Further, allowing a user to define a number of sample volumes in a model system allows pre-calculation of porosities and permeabilities for use in Navier-Stokes formulas for modeling fluid flow and gives the user control over calculation time and accuracy. This is helpful, for example, in modeling endovascular interventions where fluid dynamics are determinative in the efficacy or method of treatment for various vascular disorders, such as aneurysms, and heart disease. This is also beneficial in other healthcare contexts, like blood filters, embolic gels, endografts, web devices, and atrial appendage occluders, among others.

  • Publication number: 20160004802
Abstract: A multiscale procedure models the growth of fluid-suspended particles through phase transition and/or agglomeration. The particle deposition on fluid flow boundaries and the precipitation occurred on the solid/liquid interface will influence and potentially constrict/block the fluid flow. The multiscale Lagrangian/Eulerian model enables detailed predictive simulations of the deposit formation and aging processes due to the continued precipitation on the deposit interface and deposition processes of precipitated solids, such as wax crystals or asphaltenes, on boundaries like walls exposed to fluid flow.

  • Publication number: 20150122115
Abstract: A hydrostatic axial piston machine includes a drive shaft and a plurality of cylinder sleeves in which a spherical or ball-shaped section and a spherical or ball-shaped piston are inserted to delimit a respective displacer chamber. The sections are secured on a rotor, while the pistons are secured on a piston disk or piston drum. The piston disk is configured to be tilted at different pivoting angles relative to the rotor in a variable-displacement machine, or the piston disk is tilted continuously relative to the rotor in a constant-displacement machine. The rotor and the piston disk are coupled to one another for conjoint rotation by a driving device. The rotor and the piston disk can also be coupled indirectly by a drive shaft of the machine. A sliding joint axial with respect to a drive shaft is arranged between the rotor and the piston disk.
