Patent number: 12326217Abstract: The present disclosure provides a portable electronic device including a frame body supporting electronic components and a stand mechanism. The stand mechanism includes a foot, and an activator. The foot includes a foot support and a foot shaft including a foot guide path. The activator includes an engaging element, and the engaging element is received by the foot guide path. A portion of the foot guide path extends at an angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the foot shaft. When the activator engages a surface, the engaging element of the activator moves along the portion of the foot guide path at the angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the foot shaft causing the foot support to rotate from a stored position to a deployed position.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2023Date of Patent: June 10, 2025Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Benjamin Carroll, John William Pennington, Jr., Marcus Hoggarth, Stephen Philip de Saulles, Michael Brown

Publication number: 20240148538Abstract: An ostomy appliance having an appliance wall of flexible sheet material forming a cavity for containing a stomal output. The wall has a stomal inlet for receiving the stomal output and a gas vent for allowing the stomal gas to migrate out of the cavity. A filter arrangement is mounted to the appliance wall and has a filter channel extending from a filter channel inlet to a filter channel outlet. The filter channel inlet is located in the cavity for receiving the stomal output from the cavity and the filter channel outlet is mounted in communication with the gas vent for allowing stomal gas to migrate out of the filter channel to the gas vent. A separation element extends along the filter channel for maintaining the filter channel in an open configuration along part of the filter channel for allowing stomal gas to pass therethough.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 16, 2024Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Marcus Hoggarth, JR., Oliver Poyntz
