Abstract: A box connector for cable comprises an annular connector in which one or more inwardly extending arms are formed. The inwardly extending arms are formed such that cable may be inserted in one direction, but cannot be pulled out in the other direction until the inwardly extending arms are released. In use, the box connector is inserted into an electrical box prior to inserting cable. Thereafter, cable is threaded into the electrical box. Once the cable is threaded into the electrical box, the cable is fixedly held via the inwardly extending arms.

A rear face of the removable mud cover, which faces a front opening of the electrical device mounting box when the removable mud cover is in a closed position, may include a cavity configured to receive a face of an electrical device mounted in the electrical device mounting box when the removable mud cover is in a closed position. The removable mud cover may include a narrow imprinter configured to imprint drywall when drywall is pressed against the narrow imprinter.

Abstract: A safety outlet cover assembly that includes at least one button opening on a side of the cover base and at least one button opening on an opposite side of the cover base through which buttons are coupled to the base. The safety cover assembly may also include a cover configured to slide along a track on the cover base such that the cover is slidably coupled to the cover base and covers a socket face of the receptacle. Abstract: An electrical box comprises a back wall and opposing top and bottom walls. Coupled to a top wall is a track that is configured to interface with a wall mount feature (such as a nail boss) in such a manner that the wall mount features can slide within the track. In such a manner, the wall mount features can be placed in a forward position for storage or transportation, and in a rearward position when installed in a wall. The forward position of the wall mounting feature allows electrical boxes to be nested within each other, raising the shipping density of electrical boxes that can be stored.

In particular implementations, a portion of the adapter may be located behind the yoke of the electrical device. The adapter may be movably coupled to the base. A method for installing a convertible electrical device cover is also disclosed including placing the convertible electrical device cover in an operative position over an electrical device so that an adapter may be located between the electrical device and a rear of a base.

The attachment wall may include an electrical box mounting aperture therethrough. The bracket is configured for attachment to an adjacent electrical device mounting box by aligning the electrical box mounting apertures of the first and second arms with electrical box mounting apertures of the adjacent electrical device box. In addition, a gap between the attachment walls of the first and second arms is larger than an outer wall height of the adjacent electrical device mounting box.

Abstract: A configurable electrical box includes an electrical box having a wall structure that defines an internal space, a front open end, and a rear open end. The wall structure includes at least one pair of opposing walls. In addition, at least two slots disposed through at least one wall of the pair of opposing walls. A dividing plate is slidably coupled with one of the at least two slots and is positionable between an engaged position and an unengaged position. The dividing plate is in contact with both of the pair of opposing walls when in the engaged position.

Abstract: A method and structure of a system of electrical boxes having at least two screw boss channels and at least two screw protrusions wherein the screw boss channels are complimentary shaped to the screw protrusions for selectively nesting like-ganged electrical boxes while preventing nesting of dislike-ganged electrical boxes for more space-efficient storage of electrical boxes while increasing inventory control and accuracy.

Abstract: An electrical outlet cover assembly with an electrical outlet mounting box having a front edge that does not extend beyond a front surface of a wall. An extendable base is coupled with the electrical outlet mounting box and is slideable between collapsed and extended positions. When collapsed, a leading edge of the extendable base does not extend beyond the front surface of the wall. One or more guides resist decoupling of the extendable base and the electrical outlet mounting box. A lid is pivotably coupled with the extendable base, and one of the lid and the extendable base has a cord port along their respective edges. The lid has a front surface and is positionable between open and closed positions. The lid's front surface is substantially flush with the front surface of the wall when the base is collapsed and the lid is closed with respect to the extendable cover.

Abstract: An electrical device cover comprises a base with an opening in a back wall of the base sized to receive an electrical device and a lid coupled to the base at a first base end through a hinge, the lid pivotable between and open position and at least one closed position. The base comprises a notch on a base wall extending away from the first base end. A first lid end is hingedly coupled to the first base end such that the first lid end is selectively adjustable with respect to the base toward and away from the second base end. A lid pin extends from the lid towards the notch when the lid is in at least one closed position wherein the lid pin seats in the notch when the first lid end is selectively adjusted toward the second base end.

Abstract: An electrical box includes a back portion including a back wall and various side walls. Coupled to the back portion is an sliding ring portion including various side walls. The sliding ring portion is slidably mounted on the back portion such that there is an extended position with a first depth and a collapsed position with a second depth where the first depth is greater than the second depth. Prior to installation, the electrical box would be in the collapsed position in order to minimize the space occupied by the electrical box. When installed, the electrical box would be used in the extended position, such that the full depth of the electrical box can be used.
