Patent number: 10275345Abstract: Examples of an application experiment system are provided that can manage and run experiments for software applications. In one embodiment, the application experiment system receives definitions for experiments and treatments for an application, runs experiments in response to requests from users of the system, automatically allocates treatments to users of the application, logs experiment data and treatment allocation data, and/or reports experiment results data. The application experiment system enables application developers to test changes or features in a precise, controlled environment on a limited user base before deciding whether to deploy changes or features to all users of an application.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2017Date of Patent: April 30, 2019Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Ian C. Suttle, Steven J. Lee, Marcus A. King, Timothy J. Berger

Patent number: 10071280Abstract: An arm rehabilitation system for exercising a user's arm. The system provides an arm support device moveable upon a support surface by a user's first arm. The arm support device has a main body configured to movably engage the support surface on one side and has a hand support portion on an opposing side at or toward one end of the body for supporting a user's hand of the first arm. A primary hand support formation protrudes from the hand support portion and a secondary hand support handle extends from the main body at or toward the periphery of the hand support portion. An adjustable switch support boom assembly is also mounted to the main body and has at least one operable user input component for generating an actuation signal in response to operation by the user. An onboard motion tracking system mounted to or within the main body is configured to sense motion of the main body to enable user interaction with an interactive computer system running an application program.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2012Date of Patent: September 11, 2018Assignee: Callaghan InnovationInventor: Marcus King

Patent number: 9355521Abstract: Disclosed is a gaming system for playing a progressive game, wherein the progressive game has an initial increment rate and threshold limit, and each time the progressive game is played a contribution is made to a progressive jackpot's current value. The system includes: a display screen for displaying a gaming presentation, one or more player-activated buttons for receiving player input, and a processor that executes game software and processes input from the player-activated buttons. In this gaming system, each contribution increases the current value until the jackpot reaches the threshold limit, wherein once the threshold limit has been reached, the progressive jackpot uses a secondary increment, to speed up, slow down, or stop the amount contributed to the progressive jackpot. The progressive jackpot's current value is reset to a lower reset value, when a jackpot is won by a player. Further, the progressive game implements a hidden increment that channels contributions to an overflow amount.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2010Date of Patent: May 31, 2016Assignee: BALLY GAMING, INC.Inventor: Marcus King
