Publication number: 20080119292Abstract: This invention relates to a bearing means for a hand held portable tool such as a brush cutter, a trimmer or the like said means comprising an elongated bearing sleeve (13) that is provided with outwardly extending flanges (14) or the like. The bearing sleeve (13) has a non circular inner surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2005Publication date: May 22, 2008Applicant: HUSQVARNA ABInventors: Marcus Kragner, Thomas Engvall, Marcus Falth

Patent number: 7185393Abstract: Leaf blower that is carried on the back of the operator comprising at least an engine (14) and a fan. The fan is provided with an air inlet (13) placed on the side of the fan that is facing away from the back of the operator. The air stream is passing the engine (14) on its way to the air inlet (13) so that the engine (14) is cooled.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2002Date of Patent: March 6, 2007Assignee: Aktiebolaget ElectroluxInventors: Göran Dahlberg, Gustaf Döragrip, Peter Gunnarsson, Marcus Kragner, Anna Sjögren, Esbjörn Ollas

Patent number: 7159691Abstract: Conventional leaf blowers have a supporting frame to where the different components are attached. In order to reduce the noise from the tool and protect some of the components are they provided with covers. This makes the tool heavy and complicated for the operator to use. The claimed invention is a covering casing (10) that also is the supporting structure for the different components in the tool. The casing reduces the amount of noise spread from the tool and protects the components inside the casing (10).Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2002Date of Patent: January 9, 2007Assignee: Aktiebolaget ElectroluxInventors: Göran Dahlberg, Gustaf Döragrip, Peter Gunnarsson, Marcus Kragner, Anna Sjögren, Esbjörn Ollas

Patent number: 6679218Abstract: Conventional leaf blowers that are carried on the back of the operator have a starting device placed outside an engine and an fan which means that there position will be far from the back of the operator. This position of the starting device makes it difficult for the operator to reach it and results in that the center of gravity for the tool will be far from the back of the operator. The position also means that the operator must take the tool down from the back to be able to start the tool. In this application is a new arrangement that solves the above-described problem claimed. This is done by placing the starting device (20) for the engine (11) on the side of the fan that is facing towards the back of the operator when the leaf blower is in its right position on the back of the operator. This moves the center of gravity closer to the back of the operator and makes it possible for the operator to reach the starting device without removing the tool from the back.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2002Date of Patent: January 20, 2004Assignee: Aktiebolaget ElectroluxInventors: Marcus Kragner, Anna Sjögren

Patent number: 6666187Abstract: The invention relates to a device for adjustably limiting the maximum speed of an engine powered hand tool controlled by a power-regulating device (11) located in the handle of the tool. The device makes it possible to optimise the speed of the engine for the job that is to be done. The device consists of a threaded shaft (15) that is moved by rotating a nut (12) and a spring (14). When a higher speed than the selected level is required, is it possible to increase the speed to the maximum speed available by pressing the power-regulating device (11) with a force that exceeds the force from the spring (14).Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2001Date of Patent: December 23, 2003Assignee: Aktiebolaget ElectroluxInventors: Göran Dahlberg, Bo Sandström, Mats Axelsson, Marcus Kragner
