In response to information about a current opportunity that specifies at least one qualification, the database is searched to identify at least one of the following: first persons having qualifications that substantially match the current opportunity's specified qualification; and preexisting opportunities that specify one or more qualifications that substantially match the current opportunity's specified qualification. Also, the database is searched to identify target companies that satisfy at least one of the following conditions: the target company is where at least one of the first persons exists; the target company is where at least one of the first persons previously existed; the target company is where at least one of the preexisting opportunities exists; and the target company is where at least one of the preexisting opportunities previously existed.
