  • Publication number: 20230053274
Abstract: A closure system for a motor vehicle cargo bed includes a closure panel having a plurality of slats moveable between a deployed position and a retracted position, with each adjacent pair of the slats being pivotably connected to one another by a hinge unit for pivotal movement of the adjacent slats about a hinge axis. First and second guide track units are configured to be mounted to one side of the cargo bed to extend adjacent opposite side edge portions of the closure panel. A plurality of roller units, each having first and second rollers, are supported along the opposite side edge portions of the cover panel for rolling movement along the first and second guide track units, with each roller unit rolling about a roller axis that is coaxially aligned with one of the hinge axes.

  • Patent number: 8657360
Abstract: A collapsible roof for a vehicle includes a roof guide, a roof cap, a top fabric, and an adjusting mechanism. The adjusting mechanism movably couples the roof cap to the roof guide such that the roof cap with the top fabric are movable relative to the roof guide between a closed position in which the top fabric covers a roof opening and an opened position in which the top fabric exposes the roof opening. The adjusting mechanism includes front and rear control arms coupled to the roof cap. The front control arm includes a locking hook and the rear control arm includes a latching hook. The locking hook engages a front cavity of the roof guide in the closed position to fix the roof cap in place and the latching hook engages a rear cavity of the roof guide in the opened position to fix the roof cap in place.

  • Publication number: 20070194595
Abstract: A convertible vehicle includes a folding top having a fabric covering supported on a linkage assembly. The linkage assembly is movably connected to the vehicle to move the top between a closed position in which the fabric covering covers the vehicle interior and a stored position in which the linkage assembly and the fabric covering are folded and lowered into stowage space of the vehicle trunk. The linkage assembly includes a tension bar connected to a rear section of the fabric covering. The tension bar acts upon the fabric covering with tension when the top is closed. A cover panel is mounted on the side of the tension bar facing the vehicle interior. The cover panel and the tension bar are horizontally arranged when the top is closed. The tension bar together with the cover panel are movable relative to the vehicle during movement of the top.
