  • Patent number: 11773554
Abstract: An erosion prevention system, a cell assembly and a kit of parts for such a system, and methods of making and installing such an erosion prevention system is disclosed. A cell assembly (2501) may comprise a plurality of cells (2520a, 2520b, 2520c) for containment of rock pieces, each cell having a bottom, sides/ends and a top each formed from wire mesh. A continuous length of wire mesh may wrap around and defines the upper, lower (2502) and end faces (2503a, 2503b) of the cell assembly (2501), the ends of the length being fastened together at an overlapping join positioned on the upper and/or end of the cell assembly. The continuous length of chain-link wire mesh may extend beyond at least one side face (2503d) of the cell assembly, thereby being configured to overlap at least a portion of the lower, upper and end faces of a corresponding second cell assembly when positioned side by side. • Publication number: 20220184717
Abstract: The combination tool (2), in particular a drilling/chamfering tool, comprises a drill (6) extending in the longitudinal direction (4) with a clamping sleeve (8), which is designed to receive the drill (6) and fasten the drill (6) at a variable length and which has a holding seat (38) for a cutting insert (12). The drill (6) comprises a cutting region (22) provided with grooves (14), wherein the grooves (14) extend helically and are formed between two grooves (14) drill backs (18). At least one of the drill backs (18) is partially flattened to form an adjustment surface (16) for the cutting insert (12), wherein the adjustment surface (16) extends helically. As a result, a length adjustment over a large length range is made possible independently of the twist angle (?).

  • Publication number: 20190188937
Abstract: An electronic door lock system automatically controls locking and unlocking of a door. A door lock controller interfaces with an electronic door lock, sends messages including door lock data to a local receiver, and receives messages including door lock commands from the local receiver. In turn, the local receiver interfaces with a hub device through a mesh network. The hub receives the door lock data, applies a rule set to make lock operation decisions, and sends messages, which may comprise commands to operate the door lock, through the mesh network to the local receiver. The local receiver decodes the messages and passes the commands to the door lock controller to automatically control the electronic door lock.

  • Patent number: 10131007
Abstract: A cutting tool (2) is specified with a cutting region (4) that comprises a substrate (12) onto which a coating (10) is applied, which coating (10) is subsequently processed, whereby a sharp cutting edge (8) is formed. Furthermore, a corresponding method for the manufacture of the cutting tool (2) is specified. By means of the sharpening of the cutting edge (8) after the coating rather than before, a particularly sharp cutting edge (8) is formed, whereby the precision of the cutting tool (2) as well as its service life is improved.

  • Patent number: 9757007
Abstract: A blank for a package, a package, and a kit having a package with a cleaning implement therein. The package has a front panel and side panels with a transition that provides for regions of relatively greater and relatively lesser depth in said package. A window is disposed in the front panel, and registered with the portions of the side panel having relatively lesser depth. This geometry provides the benefit that the package may hold all contents deemed helpful at point of sale, while allowing the cleaning implement to be visible through or protrude through the window without shadows being cast from the side panels.

  • Patent number: 9754483
Abstract: Disconnected from the powerline, a battery-powered receiver is configured to conserve power. The receiver communicates information between a local controller and a communication network that uses the powerline and a radio frequency (RF) band to propagate messages. An antenna wirelessly detects the presence of the powerline carrier signal that radiates into free space, which indicates a first message encoded onto the powerline. A computer processor wakes up from an inactive state based on the presence of the carrier signal and receives a second message via a second RF signal having a different frequency than the powerline carrier signal, and determines whether the device address in the second message is the assigned address of the receiver. If the message is not addressed to the receiver, the receiver returns to an inactive state.

  • Patent number: 9529345
Abstract: An electronic window covering control system automatically controls the position and orientation of a window covering. A window covering controller interfaces with a light intensity sensor, a temperature sensor, and an electronic window covering configured to raise and lower the covering and tilt the slats. The window covering controller sends sensor data to a local receiver and receives window covering commands from the local receiver. The local receiver interfaces with a hub device through a mesh network and sends the sensor data to the hub. The hub applies a rule set to make operation decisions based on sensor data and user preferences, and sends messages comprising commands to operate the window covering through the mesh network to the local receiver. The local receiver decodes the messages and passes the window covering commands to the window covering controller to automatically control the electronic window covering.
