Abstract: A method for configuration of video stream output from a digital video camera. A digital video camera connected to a communication network, using a first video stream of a scene is produced; a second video stream of the scene is produced; at a client connected to the communication network, the first and second video streams are received and at least one video stream parameter of the first set of video stream parameters is caused to be adjusted such that a bit rate of the first video stream is affected; at the digital video camera, the producing of the first video stream is continuously adjusted based on the caused adjustment of the at least one video stream parameter of the first set of video stream parameters; and on a display of the client, a portion of each frame of the first video stream are continuously displayed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for configuration of video stream output from a digital video camera that comprises: at the digital video camera connected to a communication network, producing a first video stream of a scene and producing a second video stream of the scene; at a client connected to the communication network, receiving the first and second video streams and causing at least one video stream parameter of the first set of video stream parameters to be adjusted such that a bit rate of the first video stream is affected; at the digital video camera, continuously adjusting the producing of the first video stream based on the caused adjustment of the at least one video stream parameter of the first set of video stream parameters; and on a display of the client, continuously displaying at least a portion of each frame of the first video stream.

Abstract: A monitoring system includes recording units for recording sequences of monitoring data and a system control station. In the system control station, timing information related to each sequence of monitoring data recorded by the recording units is obtained. The timing information indicates a start time and a stop time for each sequence. A recording unit selection signal is received that indicates a selected recording unit. The timing information is processed together with the recording unit selection signal, and a graphic representation of the start and stop times for a subset of the sequences of monitoring data is displayed using a first graphic characteristic. Further, a graphic representation of the start and stop times for each sequence of monitoring data recorded by the selected recording unit is displayed using a second graphic characteristic that is different from the first graphic characteristic.
