Abstract: A sensor device is described for the contactless acquisition of at least one rotation characteristic of a rotatable object, in particular for acquiring a rotational speed of a compressor wheel of a turbocharger, and includes at least one sensor element. The sensor device also includes at least one magnetic-field generator for generating a magnetic field at the location of the rotatable object, and at least one magnetic-field sensor for detecting a magnetic field generated by eddy currents of the rotatable object. Moreover, the sensor device includes at least one temperature sensor. The magnetic-field generator and the magnetic-field sensor are jointly and at least partially disposed in a sensor section of the sensor housing. The temperature sensor is at least partially situated in the sensor section.
