  • Publication number: 20200170758
Abstract: A computationally implemented method includes, but is not limited to: determining an incrementally progressive series of adjustment appliances, each of the series of adjustment appliances having geometries selected to progressively reposition teeth; and determining for each of the series of adjustment appliances, a vertical displacement and a forward mandibular position for treating sleep apnea. In addition to the foregoing, other method aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text forming a part of the present disclosure.

  • Patent number: 9965150
Abstract: A popular highlight may be presented to a user who wishes to make the popular highlight a personal user highlight. Upon activation of a control, a personal user highlight is generated from the popular highlight. The user may then manipulate the resulting personal user highlight as they would any other user highlight.

  • Patent number: 9912744
Abstract: Digital items may be lent from one user to another. A lending system may facilitate matching users that have a digital item to lend with users that wish to borrow a digital item. Each user may have a reputation associated with his or her lending behavior that is represented as a lending metric. The lending metric may show whether a given user is primarily a lender or borrower of digital items. Heavy borrowers that do not engage in commensurate lending may be penalized. Multiple users that lend and borrow digital items from one another may be connected in a social network. The nature of a relationship in the social network may and the lending metrics of users are factors used to make lending decisions.

  • Patent number: 9697499
Abstract: While consuming digital content, a user may highlight a portion considered relevant or of interest. When this user highlight corresponds with an existing highlight created by other users in a community of users, a highlight match indicator is presented to the user. This indicator provides a positive reinforcement to the user that they have serendipitously highlighted a portion which others in the community of users found relevant.

  • Publication number: 20080028679
Abstract: A plant pot drainage system has a pot or planter-type container with potting soil. Lightweight, non-mineral rock shaped filler elements are located in the lower section of the container. The elements are irregular in shape, allowing the potting soil to fill spaces between the elements. This promotes drainage and proper root growth within the container. The elements are formed from synthetic, crush-proof material, for example high strength plastic, and can be hollow, to enhance the lightweight nature of the elements. Use of these filler elements ensures that the planted container can be easily lifted and readily transported.

  • Publication number: 20070159531
Abstract: A back seat monitoring apparatus is provided for a vehicle which includes a back seat, an interior ceiling, a dashboard, and a steering wheel. The subject apparatus includes a closed-circuit television camera mounted on the interior ceiling for viewing the back seat. A monitor screen is mounted in the vehicle for forward viewing by a driver of the vehicle who is sitting on the front seat. The monitor screen is electrically connected to the closed-circuit television camera. With the invention, the driver can safely face forward while observing the monitor screen which displays what is happening on the back seat. The closed-circuit television camera and the monitor screen are battery powered, preferably by the vehicle battery. Preferably, the monitor screen is mounted on the dashboard of the vehicle. An actuator switch, for activating the closed-circuit television camera and/or the monitor screen, can be mounted on the steering wheel of the vehicle.
