Abstract: The invention relates to a pocket liner comprising a pouch dimensioned to fit within a pocket constituting an integral part of an article, the pouch being formed of a material which is flexible and resistant to abrasion and perforation and may be provided with attachment means which may comprise clasps or belt loops or stiffening means in the vicinity of the pouch opening. The pocket liner is detachable and affords protection to a pocket from heavy usage and sharp edged objects, for example pipes (tobacco), heavy keys and golf tees, etc.
