  • Patent number: 9370096
Abstract: Provided are conducting polymer nanofibers, methods of making conducting polymer nanofibers, and uses thereof. The conducting polymer nanofibers can be formed by, for example, electrospinning, force spinning, and centrifugal spinning using a spinning dope. The conducting polymer nanofibers can be used in devices, such as a radiation detecting device.

  • Publication number: 20060260707
Abstract: Electrospun nanofiber incorporating a binder (e.g., biotin) is used in the form of a nonwoven or composite with a substrate. The nonwoven and composite can be joined to biosensor, e.g., by binding the biotin to streptavidin and binding streptavidin to biotinylated detector, and because of the high surface area to volume of electrospun nanofiber provides increased sensitivity.

  • Publication number: 20050247236
Abstract: Nanoscale diameter cellulose fibers are produced by dissolving cellulose at a level of 3 to 25% (w/w) in a solvent comprising ethylene diamine and salt selected from the group consisting of potassium thiocyanate, potassium iodide and mixtures thereof, the salt present in an amount of 10 to 75% of its saturation point.
