    Abstract: The present invention relates to water-containing solutions of acrylic-functionalized organosilanes of the general formula I ##STR1## in which R is a methyl or ethyl group, having a starting-material concentration of organosilane of between 10 and 80% by weight. The present invention additionally relates to a process for the preparation of such water-containing solutions of acrylic-functionalized organosilanes and to their use, inter alia for coatings, surfaces or intermediate layers, which are obtainable by applying organosilane-containing compounds from a solution to a surface and by crosslinking by means of UV light.
