  • Patent number: 5797904
Abstract: An electrolysis machine which uses a plurality of probes each of which is to be insertable in conjunction with a hair follicle to effect removing of a hair. The probes are mounted on an arm unit which is adjustably movable to a multitude of different positions relative to a base unit which is fixedly located on a supporting surface. An electrolysis machine produces both direct current and a radio frequency with the user being able to select just the direct current or the direct current combined with the radio frequency in the performing of the destruction of the hair. The current emitted to effect the destruction of the hair is slowly raised (over a two second time period) to a level that is preset by the operator.

  • Patent number: 5514167
Abstract: An electrical human skin treatment apparatus which comprises a housing within which is incorporated an electrical circuit. The housing includes a pair of terminals which are spaced apart. The user's hand must be in contact with one terminal with the other terminal to be in contact with the area of application such as the face or neck of the user. The electrical circuit includes a slow voltage current rise to minimize the possibility of electrical shock to the user. A switch is incorporated on the exterior of the housing to not only activate the apparatus, but also to select anaphoresis or cataphoresis.

  • Patent number: 4598709
Abstract: An electrolysis machine which utilizes an electrically conductive probe to be physically inserted below the surface of the skin to be located next to a hair shaft within the hair follicle. The electrolysis machine includes two completely separate circuits. One circuit uses a direct current, while the other circuit emits a radio frequency. The amperage of the direct current is controlled to not exceed a certain pre-established value. Upon initial establishment of the circuit with the patient, or re-establishing of the circuit with the patient, surges in electrical current are prevented through the use of a circuit which slows the rise of current to the patient.
