    Abstract: A waterproof garment includes a jacket; and a hood which is convertible into a ventilated carrying bag for storing the jacket. A ventilated waterproof hood includes an inner ventilated material and an outer waterproof layer having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The outer waterproof layer includes at least two side portions; a top of the head portion abutting the side portions, the top of the head portion comprising a front of the head portion and a back of the head portion; a base of the neck portion; and a back portion, the back portion extending from the back of the head portion to the base of the neck portion and extending from one side portion to the other side portion. The inner ventilated material is attached to the back of the head and to the two side portions of the interior surface of the outer waterproof layer, and the inner ventilated material defines a ventilated pocket in the ventilated waterproof hood.
