  • Patent number: 10532692
Abstract: An illuminated trim fitting for a motor vehicle, in particular a trim fitting as a cover fitting of a sealing strip for the window channel of a vehicle door, is intended to provide a high-quality illuminating effect accompanied at the same time by a simple structural design, low manufacturing costs and space-saving means of attachment. In addition, the trim fitting is to differ as little as possible externally from non-illuminated trim fittings. For this purpose there is provision that a light gap is formed between a profiled strip of the trim fitting and the adjacent vehicle outer skin, through which light gap the light emitted by an optical waveguide provided on the rear of the trim fitting can exit to the outside.

  • Publication number: 20150029743
Abstract: A component (1) for the outer surface of a vehicle (F), with a fibre composite (2) and at least one matrix plastic serving to stabilise the fibre composite (2). Optically or optically-electrically active elements (3) are integrated into the fibre composite (2). The optically active elements (3) have electroluminescent fibres (3) and/or the fibre composite (2) has an at least partial electroluminescent coating (7) as the optically active elements (3), which is in contact with electrically conductive fibres in the fibre composite (2).

  • Patent number: 7789457
Abstract: A component such as a vehicle exterior part having a transparent area without creating gaps is produced by introducing a hole into a film for the transparent area, inserting the film into a component mold, and then back-molding the same with a transparent plastic material in the mold such that the hole is filled with the transparent plastic material.

  • Publication number: 20080129083
Abstract: Recently, at least some parts of exterior components of vehicles have been made of plastic as well by back-molding lacquer films with plastic. A large number of such exterior components require transparent areas which are produced separately and are inserted into die-cut zones of the component. Said method requires a lot of effort while joints are difficult to prevent. The aim of the invention therefore is to create a component that can be produced in a simpler manner and without creating gaps as well as an adequate method for the production thereof. Said aim is achieved by introducing a hole into the film for the transparent area, inserting said film into the component mold, and then back-molding the same with a transparent plastic material in the mold such that the hole is filled with the transparent plastic material.

  • Publication number: 20020113024
Abstract: The invention concerns a process and a device for supercritical wet oxidation of a waste mixture containing particles comprised of organic and inorganic components. In the invention, the waste material mixture is introduced into a vessel (2), which is continuously flowed through by water in the direction counter to gravity, and that a near critical or supercritical condition exists. The flow velocity is so selected, that the particles are kept in suspension, however are not transported in the direction of flow, thereby forming a turbulence layer (30) having an upper boundary. Solids present in the water are discharged and fluid, which is located above the upper limit (32) of the turbulence layer, is continuously removed from the vessel.

  • Publication number: 20020070179
Abstract: A process and a device for supercritical wet oxidation of a waste material mixture containing particles comprised of organic and inorganic components, which are suspended in water, which is raised to a near critical or supercritical condition and in this condition is passed through a pipe reactor (6). According to the invention the pipe reactor is so arranged, that the organic components substantially dissolve in water substantially without being oxidized. The output products of the pipe reactor are caused to pass through a second reactor (8) in the near or supercritical condition, which has a substantially smaller ratio of internal surface area to volume than the pipe reactor and is so arranged that the organic components are substantially completely oxidized therein.
