  • Publication number: 20220148461
Abstract: The marker of the degree of release of elements that are difficultly or slowly biodegradable (harmful elements) into the environment for objects consisting of an element (1, 1?, 1?) with a structure which ostensibly modifies the appearance thereof at a rate in accordance with the wear of the fabric of the article (2) for which it is intended, warning the user about it. Said element consists of a button (1) or a label (1?) comprising two layers that are different in appearance, a surface one (11) and a central or lower one (12), the outer one (11) being “able to be worn out” until it disappears at a rate in accordance with the fabric of the article (2). In another variant, the element is a seam (1?) consisting of a thread that is “able to be worn out” until it disappears at the rate in accordance with the deterioration of the fabric of the article (2) for which it is intended.

  • Patent number: 8617061
Abstract: The present application concerns a device for measurement and analysis of the middle ear and ear channel color for the diagnosis of ear infections. The device is composed of a otoscope (1), including two optical fibers (2a and 2b): one for ear illumination and another returning the reflected light. The electronic unit (3) can change linearly the power of emitted light, as well as, its color. The received light is also independently measured, enabling the determination of changes on color and texture associated with the ear inflammations. Command buttons in the otoscope handler (4) enable the user to save the values of the three color components. The combined value of the components is shown in the digital display (5) of the electronic unit, as well as, by a set of LEDs (6) green, yellow and red that gives a diagnosis in a simple and immediate way. The otoscope allows, simultaneously, directly ear view through a magnifying glass (7) applied in the head of the otoscope, with a standard white light.

  • Publication number: 20100112638
Abstract: We describe a recombinant host cell for the production of a compound of interest as well as isolated fungal promoter DNA sequences, to DNA constructs, vectors, and fungal host cells comprising these promoters in operative association with coding sequences encoding a compound of interest. We also describe methods for expressing a gene of interest and/or producing compounds of interest using a promoter according to the invention.

  • Publication number: 20070086607
Abstract: A toy building element with coupling studs (6) and/or coupling skirts (7) that are complementary therewith for being interconnected with other toy building elements provided with corresponding coupling studs and/or coupling skirts, said interconnection taking place in an axial direction of the coupling studs and/or the coupling skirts. The toy building element comprises a top element (1) and a bottom element (2) that can be interconnected by means of coupling means that are releasable exclusively by rotation about an axis (A) in parallel with the axial direction of the coupling studs (6) and/or the coupling skirts (7). Besides, the toy building comprises at least one intermediate element (8), said top element (1) being interconnectable with an upper end of the intermediate element (8), while the bottom element (2) can be interconnected with a lower end of the intermediate element (8).

  • Publication number: 20060155116
Abstract: A multimer protein molecule comprising at least a first amino acid sequence having substantially the sequence of one of the Parietaria judaica major allergens and a second amino acid sequence having substantially the sequence of one of the Parietaria judaica major allergens Par j 1 or Par j 2, and a third sequence of one of the Parietaria judaica major allergens Par j 1 or Par j 2. The molecule is also mutated in the amino acid region corresponding to loop 1, so that is hypoallergenic. The molecule can be utilized for medical use as a hypoallergenic agent.

  • Publication number: 20060127955
Abstract: The present invention identifies autoantibodies to folate receptors. Methods to identify these autoantibodies to the human folate receptors are also provided. The present invention also contemplates diagnostic methods and test kits to be used in a clinical setting for identifying a subject at risk of folate-sensitive abnormalities or disorders as observed in neural tube defect complicated pregnancies. In addition, infertility, spontaneous abortion, male sterility, unsuccessful in vitro fertilization, neurologic disorders and impaired folate absorption may also be associated with these autoantibodiesto folate receptors.

  • Patent number: 5274789
Abstract: Multiprocessor system having distributed shared resources and dynamical and selective global data replication in which a plurality of processors communicate each with the other through a sytem bus. Each CPU is provided with a local memory storing data used locally and global data shareable by a plurality of processes operative in differing CPUs and therefore replicated in the local memory of each CPU. The global data replication is performed, at page level, only when a global data page is effectively needed by a plurality of processes operative in differing CPUs and in those CPUs where the page is needed, the replication in the other CPUs being performed in a predetermined trash page of the local memory so that memory space required for replication is minimized, as is traffic on the system bus for global data replication and global data writes required for assuring global data consistency.
