  • Patent number: 9176398
Abstract: A method for thermally conditioning an optical element includes irradiating the optical element with radiation, not-irradiating the optical element with the radiation, allowing heat flow between the optical element and a conditioning fluid that is held in a conditioning fluid reservoir, and providing a fluid flow of the conditioning fluid, to supply thermally conditioned fluid to the reservoir. A flow rate of the fluid during the irradiating of the optical element is lower than a flow rate of the fluid when the optical element is not-irradiated.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 20, 2009
Date of Patent: November 3, 2015
    Assignee: ASML NETHERLANDS B.V.

  • Patent number: 7428761
Abstract: Adjustable chair for medical and paramedical diagnosis and treatment, comprising a pillar, a seat, a chair back, a support for the lower legs and if appropriate a head rest, the height of the pillar being adjustable and the remainder of the parts mentioned being adjustable with respect to one another. The chair back, the seat and the support for the lower legs are adjustable into a fully extended (bed) position. Also an ergonomic chair, particularly an automobile chair.

Inventors: Paul Arthur Engels, Johannes Henricus Maria de Kroon, Gaston Lionel van Amerongen
  • Patent number: 7350863
Abstract: Work chair, comprising a seat, supported in a height-adjustable manner by a column on a foot, and an adjustable backrest, the seat, at least in part, having a substantially horizontal position, and the backrest promoting an upright position of the user's back, characterized in that the column (3) is composed of three parts (4, 5, 6) and as a result provides a two-stage adjustability for the seat height, in that the seat is divided into two parts (7, 8), in such a manner that a rear section (7) is fixed and always retains the substantially horizontal position, while a front section (8) is hinged with respect to the rear section, and in that the front section (8) is secured to the column (3) in a hinged manner (11) by a rod (9) secured to it in a hinged manner (10). The chair can be dimensioned in such a way that it allows an ergonomic working position to be adopted by virtually all users, irrespective of their corporal size, with the possibility of increasing the size of the workstation.

  • Patent number: 6205848
Abstract: Method and equipment for the detection and identification of particles in a suspension with the aid of acoustic signals, directed at at least one measurement volume within the suspension, via reception of acoustic reflection signals, conversion of the acoustic reflection signals into electrical reflection signals, counting the number of electrical reflection signals which have an amplitude in excess of a predetermined value and converting the count into numbers of particles which are larger than a certain size, at least one curve being composed on the basis of a cumulative count of the number of reflection signals which have an amplitude in excess of a specific value as a function of the amplitude and the at least one curve being compared with predetermined standard cumulative count curves and material properties, particle concentration, particle size distribution and/or particle characteristics, such as particle shape, particle size and standard deviation thereof, are deduced from the comparison.
