  • Patent number: 11657899
Abstract: Genomics information such as DNA, RNA and proteins carry a wealth of sensitive information, the exposure of which risks compromising the privacy and/or business interest of individuals and companies. An apparatus, a system and methods are disclosed for protecting sensitive genomic information either as it is produced by a sequencing machine or immediately therafter, then throughout the whole genomic workflow. Raw genomic data (“reads”) is detected and classified according to sensitivity. Reads are decomposed by excising the number and type of detected sensitive base or base pairs in less sensitive or insensitive parts of the read. The genomic workflow processes the excised information locally or in a distributed fashion, preferably within trusted execution environments for increased security.

  • Patent number: 11029787
Abstract: Systems and methods associated for providing haptic feedback are provided. For instance, data indicative of a feedback scheme associated with an input mechanism can be accessed. The feedback scheme includes one or more feedback points associated with a position of a moveable portion of the input mechanism. The input mechanism is configured to change positions responsive to an actuation of the input mechanism by a user. One or more positions of the moveable portion of the input mechanism can be determined as the input mechanism is actuated by the user. Operation of one or more feedback motors can be controlled to provide feedback to the user in accordance with the feedback scheme based at least in part on the determined one or more positions of the input mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20190270826
Abstract: Provided herein are antibodies that specifically bind to IL1RAP. Also described are related polynucleotides capable of encoding the provided IL1RAP-specific antibodies or antigen-binding fragments, cells expressing the provided antibodies or antigen-binding fragments, as well as associated vectors and detectably labeled antibodies or antigen-binding fragments. In addition, methods of using the provided antibodies are described. For example, the provided antibodies may be used to diagnose, treat, or monitor IL1RAP-expressing cancer progression, regression, or stability; to determine whether or not a patient should be treated for cancer; or to determine whether or not a subject is afflicted with IL1RAP-expressing cancer and thus may be amenable to treatment with an IL1RAP-specific anti-cancer therapeutic, such as the multi specific antibodies against IL1RAP and CD3 described herein.

  • Patent number: 8541395
Abstract: The present invention is directed to the use of telocinobufagin, or its pharmaceutically acceptable derivatives, in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment or prevention of acute and chronic pains. The present invention also refers to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of telocinobufagin; also provides a method to induce analgesia in response to acute and chronic pains that comprehends administering an effective amount of telocinobufagin to human beings or animals. According to the outcomes of in vivo assays, telocinobufagin is more potent than morphine, though without presenting the known side effects of opioids. In addition, in vivo and in vitro essays showed that TBC does not present cardiotoxicity.

  • Publication number: 20130072578
Abstract: Erythritol is granulated together with at least 10% w/w isomalt. Prior and/or after granulation a disintegrant is added and orodispersible tablets are prepared. The tablet has a disintegration time of less than 100 seconds, less than 90 seconds, preferably less than 80 seconds, more preferably less than 60 seconds and said disintegration time was determined according to the European Pharmacopoeia VI, Test method 2.9.1 by using a pharmaceutical disintegration tester model ZT 73 whereby 6 tablets having a surface of 1 square centimeter and a weight of 350 mg, at a compression force of 20 kN, were analyzed and mean values were calculated. The process for preparing the orodispersible tablet, its use, and the intermediate granulate are described as well.
