The sliding element (2) is formed at least partially of a transparent material and includes at least two transparent conducting current paths (10,12) which invisibly supply power to a power consumer (14) such as an illumination device, of the sliding element (2), and the transparent conducting current paths (10,12) are adapted to be supplied with power via the at least one sliding element fitting (6, 8).
