  • Patent number: 5578348
Abstract: Aqueous emulsions of graft copolymers comprising acrylate esters of alkanols having 2-24 carbon atoms grafted onto a backbone polymer comprising monomers of acrylate esters of alkanols having 2-24 carbon atoms are disclosed, as is the finishing of surfaces such as tanned leather by applying such emulsions thereto.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 22, 1995
Date of Patent: November 26, 1996
    Assignee: R ohm GmbH

  • Patent number: 5376459
Abstract: The invention concerns graft copolymers, useful for the treatment of leather, comprising monomers of the formula ##STR1## grafted onto a base polymer comprising monomers of the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 stand for a hydrocarbon group having 2 to 24 carbon atoms, with the proviso that the groups R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 have van der Waals volumes which differ from one another by less than 30 percent.

  • Patent number: 5305205
Abstract: A system for entering data to a data processor, such as a word processor. The system stores a set of vocabulary words in a storage device, and may assign frequency data values to each word in the vocabulary. A display list based on the stored reference vocabulary words is generated, and displayed in a ranked order based on the assigned frequency values, in response to the keyboard entry of data, or characters, by the user.

  • Patent number: 4355824
Abstract: The record indexing system includes a substrate sheet with a plurality of removable labels adhered on one surface of that sheet. The labels are substantially uniform in size and each extends along an associated longitudinal axis. Each label includes three zones on its top surface. The first zone extends from one end of the label along its longitudinal axis, the second zone extends from the other end of the label along that axis and the third zone separates the first and second zones and has a predetermined length in the direction of the axis. The first and second zones are characterized by one optical absorption spectrum and the third zone is characterized by another optical absorption spectrum. The separator zones for the labels are offset from one end of the labels by a different distance for each label.
