  • Publication number: 20220365993
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include a natural language processing model by which topics of interest within a text are identified, such as by a predictive model that infers (e.g., based on scores associated with a text) a topic of interest associated with the text. The computer system may train or configure the prediction model, such as a machine learning model, to facilitate identification of topics of interest based on inputs, like one or more chunks of text, such as by keywords or phrases or combinations of keywords and associated metrics for nearness or frequency. The computer system may determine a measure of predicted impactfulness of the content item in relation to a topic of interest identified for the content item and determine whether to generate a notification transmitted to client devices of users having indicated the topic as of interest.

  • Patent number: 8830513
Abstract: Methods, and computer systems and computer program products for performing them, for storing a destination document from a source document. Recurring content in the source document is flattened and stored in a first memory location, and then for each page in the source document, the page is flattened using the variable and (stored) recurring content, and portions influenced by the variable content are extracted and stored in a second memory location The content in the first and second memory locations may be optionally color converted from a source color space to a device color space and stored in third and fourth memory locations, respectively. For each page n, a new page is added to the destination document comprising the flattened, recurring content stored in the first (or third, if color-converted) memory location and the flattened, variable content stored in the second (or fourth, if color-converted) memory location.

  • Patent number: 8648862
Abstract: A method, system and computer readable media relating to automatically adjusting a graphics feature to compensate for a predetermined resolution limit. The method generally relates to automatically identifying, within a selected area of a graphics file, one or more portions of at least one graphics feature meeting predetermined criteria for adjustment, including criteria for defining a thin portion having a thickness less than the resolution limit. The method then automatically modifies only the identified one or more portions to have an adjusted thickness greater than the initial thickness. Additional criteria may be used to restrict which thin portions of the feature are actually modified.

  • Publication number: 20070250408
Abstract: A data model that allows for relationships between entities, also referred to as parties, to be modeled as attributes of an entity and for customization of the data model in a manner that facilitates upgrading of the data model. The data model defines a party class that includes a party identifier and a list of relationships of that party with other parties. The relationships may include represented-by relationships, customer-of relationships, contact-of relationships, or employee-of relationships. The party class can be sub-classed (i.e., be a base class for a derived class) depending on the type of party that is being model.

  • Publication number: 20050050555
Abstract: A method and system for providing an integration environment in which integration processes can be developed independent of integration servers and applications. The integration environment provides an application service interface for each application that is independent of the integration servers. An integration process that is developed to use the application service interface is compatible with any integration server that supports the applications that the integration process accesses. The integration environment provides a common service interface for each type of application. The common service interface is independent of the application that is providing the service and is also independent of the integration server. Thus, an integration process developed to use the common service interface is compatible with any application of the appropriate type and any integration server.
