  • Patent number: 11976165
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing a double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst, comprising the reaction of an aqueous solution of a cyanide-free metal salt, an aqueous solution of a metal cyanide salt, an organic complex ligand, optionally a complex-forming component to form a dispersion, the dispersion being produced using a mixing nozzle and a peroxide. The invention further relates to double metal cyanide (DMC) catalysts obtainable by means of the method according to the invention and to the use of DMC catalysts to produce polyoxyalkylene polyols.

  • Patent number: 5908872
Abstract: In a process for producing expandable styrene polymers containing graphite particles by polymerization of styrene in aqueous suspension in the presence of two peroxides which decompose at different temperatures, the peroxide which decomposes at lower temperature is multifunctional and on decomposition forms two or more linked polymer chains.

  • Patent number: 5561170
Abstract: A process for the preparation of expandable thermoplastic polymers by post-impregnation with a blowing agent in aqueous suspension in the presence of a mixture of magnesium pyrophosphate and a sulfonate group-containing extender as suspension stabilizer, in a reactor comprisesa) preparing the magnesium pyrophosphate in the same reactor at below 50.degree. C. by adding a solid magnesium salt in an amount corresponding to an at least 3% stoichiometric excess, based on pyrophosphate, to an aqueous solution of the pyrophosphate,b) heating the suspension medium to from 70.degree. to 140.degree. C. andc) adding the blowing agent in this temperature range.
