  • Publication number: 20200386204
Abstract: A control method for controlling a wind turbine comprising a rotor hub with a shaft and at least two blades, and a nacelle rotatably coupled to the tower through a yaw system, is provided. The control method includes steps for measuring a first periodic variable relating to the nacelle, measuring a second periodic variable relating to the shaft, estimating a yaw moment based on the data obtained from the first variable, processing the signal corresponding to the estimated yaw moment to extract a 1P frequency component from the signal, calibrating the yaw moment estimated, and adjusting the pitch angle of the corresponding blade to counteract the 1P frequency component of the estimated signal of the yaw moment after calibration, in turn comparing it with the signal of the second variable, is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20200209176
Abstract: A method for analyzing a gas, where a sensitive metal oxide-containing layer is exposed to the gas, includes: reducing the temperature of the sensitive layer from a first temperature to a second temperature, the temperature of the sensitive layer being maintained essentially at the second temperature for a predetermined time period; increasing the temperature of the sensitive layer to a third temperature; measuring at least one electrical resistance value of the sensitive layer while the sensitive layer exhibits essentially the third temperature; and analyzing components of the gas based on the measured at least one electrical resistance value.

  • Patent number: 10628193
Abstract: A technique for operating a system controller of a virtualized application cluster is presented. The cluster comprises one or multiple virtual machines. In a method embodiment the system controller receives, from outside the cluster, control information defining a function associated with a virtual machine. It further receives, from the virtual machine, a request message including an identifier of the virtual machine. The method also comprises determining, based on the identifier included in the request message, the function associated with the virtual machine and booting information associated with the function. The booting information is then sent in a response message to the virtual machine.

  • Publication number: 20190228020
Abstract: Systems and method for database record synchronization are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes a request receiver to receive a request including a first record. The first record is stored in a first database. The example apparatus includes a database searcher to search a second database for a second record based on the request. The example apparatus includes a record parser to generate a first parsed record based on the first record and a second parsed record based on the second record, perform a comparison of the first parsed record and the second parsed record, and identify a difference between first data in the first parsed record and second data in the second parsed record. The example apparatus includes a communicator to transmit a transaction message to the second database to modify the second data based on the first data.

  • Publication number: 20180252663
Abstract: The enzyme telomerase is present at about 85% of human cancers that makes it not only an excellent target for cancer treatment but also an excellent marker for cancer detection. Using a single stranded DNA probe specific for telomerase binding and reverse transcription tethered to an interdigital gold electrode array surface, the chromosome protection provided by the telomerase was replicated and followed by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy as an unlabeled biosensor. Using a custom system, which is simple and affordable, the impedance measurements were taken while incubating at 37° C. and promoting the probe elongation. This resulted in up to 14-fold increase in the charge transfer resistance when testing a telomerase-positive nuclear extract from Jurkat cells compared to the heat-inactivated telomerase-negative nuclear extract.
