  • Patent number: 10039806
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and compositions for treating cancer patients, and in particular, breast cancer patients, who are responsive to antiprogestin therapy, or who may be induced to be responsive to an antiprogestin therapy through the administration of a demethylation agent, optionally together with an HDAC inhibitor. • Publication number: 20150202261
Abstract: The invention provides methods, pharmaceutical compositions and kits for treating a subject having a carcinoma that is resistant to an antiprogestin. In particular, the methods comprise increasing the molar amount of progesterone receptor isoform A (PR-A) so that it is greater than that of isoform B (PR-B) and administering a therapeutically effective amount of an antiprogestin to the subject, thereby treating the carcinoma.

  • Patent number: 6726175
Abstract: A valve (100) for controlling gas flow for a gas heating which allows, as different embodiments, (1) A gradual and smooth transition from high flow to low flow. This is achieved by a rotatable control means (108) wherein the valve body or control means has a taping groove (134) on an annular path intersecting with a port to allow variation in flow rate as the control means rotates. (2) The ganging together into modular form of several valve units with the inlet ports forming a common inlet manifold. (3) The control means, at least, is a plastic, eg nylon. (4) The switching to off from either high or low flow is allowed. But the switching from off to on is directly to high flow.

  • Publication number: 20040048216
Abstract: A gas burner (100) is described including a variable speed fan (104) controlled to give an optimum gas/air mixture. The control is provided using a microprocessor with the gas valve position or measured characteristics of the output flame as feedback. The gas burners includes improved outlet slots to ensure optimum flame contact with a cooking vessel.
