Patent number: 6920337Abstract: A wireless notification apparatus, system and method provide notifications to a user relating to e-mails, voice messages, meeting and calendar reminders, or any combination thereof, when the user is away from the user's desk, computer, workstation, or the like. The notification system may include a notification device and a base station. The notification device may have a microprocessor, a display for displaying data, and a wireless receiver for receiving wireless data, the microprocessor coupled with the display and the wireless receiver. The base station may include a wireless transmitter for transmitting data to the wireless receiver when an event has occurred at the user's desk. In this manner, the wireless notification system provides time sensitive data—such as meeting reminders, calendar reminders, voice message information, or email information—to the intended recipient even when the intended recipient is away from his or her desk.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2002Date of Patent: July 19, 2005Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Maria Pinsky, Jessica Kraemer

Publication number: 20030189582Abstract: A system is provided for presenting a synchronized musical score. The system has a controller and a plurality of computerized monitors. The monitors respond to the controller to display the musical score to musicians at the monitors. One or more data links between the controller and the monitors communicate information between the controller and the monitors. Optionally, a musical score database networks with the controller to provide the musical score to the controller. One or more of the monitors may have a media driver to provide the musical score to the one or more monitors. Physical media (e.g., CD ROM, magnetic media) may be inserted to the driver, the media encoding the musical score. Various controls at the monitors facilitate user selection of scrolling and display characteristics of the musical score.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 9, 2002Publication date: October 9, 2003Inventor: Maria Pinsky
