  • Patent number: 9614243
Abstract: A multilayered structure suitable as an electrode in a power source and a method of producing the same. The structure comprises a conductive laminar layer; and an enzyme layer containing an essentially dry enzyme capable of oxidizing or dehydrogenating carbohydrate material under suitable conditions. Because the enzymatic anode layer and the fuel containing layer are not interacting during the production and since they are kept latent during storage time, the power source will remain stable for extended periods of time, thus increasing the utility of the power source.

  • Patent number: 8758936
Abstract: A thin film structure, method of producing it and the use thereof. The thin film structure comprises a substrate with a thin conductive layer containing an oxidizing enzyme mixed with an electron transfer mediator. The thin layer is protected against wetting to allow for its storage in dry conditions and further being sufficiently porous to allow for immediate activation of the oxidizing enzyme when contacted with an aqueous solution. The thin film can be used as a cathode in electrochemical fuel cells.

  • Publication number: 20070151679
Abstract: A process for producing fibrous material, comprising a lignocellulosic material with phenolic or similar structural groups, and a signaling agent, said process comprising the steps of oxidizing phenolic or similar structural groups of the lignocellulosic matric to provide an oxidized fibre material, and directly, or via a tagging agent binding to the oxidized fibre material with a signaling agent which is capable of providing the lignocellulosic fibre material with properties foreign to the native fibre so that the fibres or products prepared therefrom can be detected. The signaling agent bonded to the fibres makes it possible to identify the product, trace it and to use it as a security/anti-counterfeit product.

  • Publication number: 20070059837
Abstract: The invention relates to a method non-damaging the package for noticing a change caused by a leakage, the oxygen content and/or deterioration of a product in the package by attaching an indicator to the packaging material using the dripping technique, which indicator indicates by discolouration a change in the conditions of the package. Further, the invention relates to a method for locating the package using the dripping technique by means of an identifier formed by the indicator attached to the package. The invention also relates to a package produced by the method mentioned above, as well as to a system for locating the package.
