  • Patent number: 11819828
Abstract: A multi-function catalyst article for treating both NO and carbon monoxide emissions in a flow of a combustion exhaust gas from a stationary emission source comprises a honeycomb monolith substrate comprising one or more channels which are open at both ends and extend along an axial length thereof and through which, in use, a combustion exhaust gas flows, which catalyst article comprising a catalyst composition comprising a combination of a first, vanadium-containing SCR catalyst component and a second component which is a compound of a transition metal comprising copper, manganese, cobalt, molybdenum, nickel or cerium or a mixture of any two or more thereof and optionally a third, crystalline molecular sieve component.

  • Publication number: 20230249126
Abstract: A method and exhaust gas treatment system for treating an ammonia-containing exhaust gas, for example a livestock house exhaust gas. The exhaust gas treatment system comprises a plurality of sorbent beds comprising a copper-doped small-pore zeolite, a valve system configured to establish independently for each sorbent bed fluid communication in a first or second configuration, wherein in the first configuration a flow of ammonia-containing exhaust gas contacts the sorbent bed at a temperature of less than 50° C. for storing the ammonia; and in the second configuration a flow of heated gas maintains the sorbent bed at a temperature of at least 300° C. for releasing and treating the ammonia in situ.

  • Publication number: 20210299636
Abstract: The present invention refers to a method for the preparation of a shell type catalyst for mercury oxidation, the catalyst and the use of the catalyst. The catalyst is prepared by a method comprising mixing titanium dioxide, a compound of a promoter selected from molybdenum and tungsten, and a binder, to prepare a paste; shaping the paste, to obtain a shaped paste; drying and optionally calcining the shaped paste, to obtain a support material; impregnating the support material with an aqueous alkaline impregnation solution comprising a vanadium compound; drying and calcining the impregnated support material, to obtain the catalyst. The catalyst is useful for purifying exhaust gases from coal plants and other power plants where mercury emissions occurs.

  • Patent number: 10562011
Abstract: In order to improve the lifetime of an SCR catalyst in the waste gas purification by means of the SCR process of waste gas of a biomass combustion plant, the catalyst comprises a sacrificial component selected from a zeolite and/or a clay mineral, in particular halloysite. During operation, catalyst poisons contained in the waste gas, in particular alkali metals, are absorbed by the sacrificial component so that catalytically active centers of the catalyst are not blocked by the catalyst poisons.
