  • Publication number: 20230017763
Abstract: A haemostatic device for treating post-operative bleeding of the prostatic cavity, having a body or catheter having a first canal in fluidic communication with a first inflatable balloon formed on the body. The balloon and canal are positionable inside the bladder against the back of the bladder and configured to apply a determined pressure, in the inflated state, on the prostatic cavity to block off and isolate the prostatic cavity, to reduce its volume and to occlude the blood vessels in its cavity wall. The body includes a second canal fluidically connected to a second balloon, extend in the prostatic cavity while conforming to the irregularities of the prostatic cavity. The device has a tensioning tube for easy insertion of the penis in the flaccid state, without compressing the walls of the penis or the glans, having a longitudinal slot extending between two ends of the tensioning tube.

  • Patent number: 9517120
Abstract: A device for positioning a stent in a natural canal after passing through an obstacle at the level of a target organ. The device includes a stent, a pusher tube, and a guide. The guide is configured to push the stent through the lumen of the natural canal, and includes at least one flexible part having a predetermined longitudinal stiffness and a lateral flexibility that allow a reversible deformation from a straight position to a bent position so as to follow the curve of the natural canal under the application of minimal external forces exerted by an operator. The device is particularly adapted to the technical field of urology.

  • Patent number: 8211085
Abstract: Therapeutic device intended for the selective cytoreductive treatment of an obstruction in a natural lumen or passage of the human or animal body, said lumen being obstructed by the effect of a local cell proliferation, said device comprising a tubular element, in particular of cylindrical shape, intended to be placed in said natural lumen and sufficiently flexible to conform to said natural lumen, but sufficiently rigid to maintain an artificial channel in said lumen. The tubular element supports lengthwise a medicinal sleeve which is intended to come into line with, and into contact with, the obstruction once the natural lumen has been intubated, and is designed to deliver locally, at least in its outer surface portion, at least one therapeutic agent which is cytoreductive, in particular cytotoxic, through contact with the cells under whose effect said lumen is obstructed.

  • Patent number: 5391196
Abstract: An obstructed canal of the human or animal body delimited by a wall is treated by: (a) selectively damaging extrinsic tissue by introducing a controlled dose of ionizing or non-ionizing treatment energy in order to necrose at least a part of the tissue; (b) fitting a prosthesis into the natural canal, the prosthesis including a tubular element biologically compatible with the wall, exerting on the latter a centrifugal compression, and optionally imparting a posture, and defining an open and permanent passage in the natural canal; (c) permitting the extrinsic tissue to heal on and around the prosthesis; and (d), after healing of the extrinsic tissue, extracting the prosthesis from the natural canal to obtain in the latter a definitive passage modeled on the external dimensions of the prosthesis.
