Abstract: A conveyor warewasher includes at least one washing zone, at least one rinsing zone, a conveyor and a camera system arranged above or below the conveyor and configured to capture at least one image of a portion of the conveyor, preferably continuously or at predefined or definable times and/or events. The camera system includes at least one camera and a transparent surface element arranged in a region of the field of view of the camera, in the form of a transparent glass or plastic panel, wherein the at least one camera is at least partly or in some areas separated from the portion of the conveyor optically covered by the camera system, via the transparent surface element. A heating device is associated with the transparent surface element for heating, in particular continuously or as needed, at least one portion of the transparent surface element.
