To achieve or improve the sealing of the transition area between hem (3) and respirator (5), the side of the hem (3) that faces into the face opening (4) is provided with at least one circumferential sealing element (6) for closeout abutment of the respirator (5).

The first glove section (2) is formed according to the present invention of a polymer-based material which is at least essentially impervious to chemical poisonous and/or warfare agents or at least retards their passage and is at least essentially gas and water impervious. The second glove section (3) being formed of a textile sheetlike filtering material which prevents or at least retards the passage of poisonous and/or noxiant agents and is at least essentially gas and water vapor pervious. The present invention's glove (1) combines good wear comfort with high protection against highly concentrated poisonous and/or noxiant agents.

Abstract: A pilot's glove includes a first material piece for covering a hand front side and a second material piece for covering a hand rear side. The first and second material pieces have edges by which the first and second material pieces are connected to one another to forma seam which lies on a rear side of the hand when the glove is worn, so that the fingertips are free of seams and all seams lie on the hand rear side. The front side and rear side each have a hydrophobic and oleophobic finish for protection against chemical warfare agents.
