Abstract: Apparatus and methods for artificial insemination and embryo transfer relative to livestock animals is disclosed. The invention utilizes an inner sheath/distal probe end combination to allow atraumatic navigation through the cervical anatomy of the animal to reach the uterus. The probe end both is configured to assist in the navigation through the cervical anatomy as well as is intentionally minimized in size relative to the cervical anatomy. Once navigation is completed, semen or embryos can be emplaced at the desired site.
