  • Patent number: 11939149
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an industrial container and a method of opening an industrial container. The industrial container includes a container body, a pivot assembly, a counter-balancing spring assembly, and a locking assembly. The container body can have a plurality of walls, the plurality of walls including a pivotable ramp wall. The pivot assembly can connect the ramp wall with the container body for pivotal movement of the ramp wall, and the pivot assembly can include a pivot shaft supported by a pair of arms. The counter-balancing spring assembly can include one or more springs arranged about the pivot shaft for biasing the ramp wall from a downwardly inclined loading position upwardly toward a vertical closed position with a torque force. The locking assembly can be configured to lock the ramp wall in the vertical closed position.

  • Patent number: 5938065
Abstract: A portable liquid storage tank includes two elongate side walls, two end walls, a floor, and a roof, which are secured together to create a liquid-tight enclosure. The side walls are each preferably formed from a unitary piece of sheet material which is bent into three substantially planar sections which are angled at obtuse angles relative to adjacent sections. The tank thereby has a substantially octagonal shape. The floor is preferably sloped in a shallow V downward away from the side walls to assist drainage toward a drain. Each sidewall preferably includes at least one wedge-shaped brace located along the length of the sidewall and contoured to fit substantially flushly against the three planar sections of the sidewall. A plurality of support beams are secured transversely across the top of the side walls to provide additional structural stability for the roof. Several relatively large entryways are also provided in the tank and doors are provided thereto.

  • Patent number: 5683126
Abstract: The dumpster dual locking assembly includes a housing having two side walls each having an opening. Extending through the openings is a rotatable sleeve which has at one end a flange with a hole for receiving the barrel of a padlock. A rotation bar, which also has at one end a flange with a hole for receiving the barrel of a padlock, extends through and is rotatable relative to the sleeve. A locking bar for securing the hinged lid of a dumpster is coupled to the rotation bar. Both the sleeve and the rotation bar can be manually locked together by placing a lock through their flanges. When the dumpster is upright, a gravitational lock prevents the sleeve from rotating in the housing. The gravitational lock includes a support fixed to the sleeve, a pendulum supported at one end by and rotatable relative to the support, and a latch. The latch locks into a catch mounted on the interior surface of the housing when the dumpster is upright.

  • Patent number: 5201434
Abstract: A standard garbage receiving dumpster is provided with a locking bar disposed across its lid. A locking mechanism cooperating with the locking bar is added to the dumpster to prevent the locking bar from rotating when the dumpster is in an upright position. A lock is provided which when opened permits the locking bar to be disengaged from the locking mechanism to allow authorized users to rotate the locking bar and open the dumpster lid to permit the deposit of garbage therein. The locking mechanism is disengaged when the dumpster is in an inverted position to permit the lid to open and the contents of the dumpster to be removed.
