    Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for determining a recommended daily budget for a job post. One method includes operations for identifying an initial budget value for recommending a daily budget when a job poster is adding a job post, and for performing a test to determine responses of job posters when the recommended daily budget is presented as a function of a multiplier applied to the initial budget value. Further, the method includes operations for defining a model to determine committed bookings as a function of the multiplier, determining based on the model a value of the multiplier that maximizes the committed bookings, and setting a new initial budget value to the initial budget value times the value of the multiplier that maximizes the committed bookings. Additionally, the new initial budget value is presented in a user interface when job posters add new job posts.

Then the graphical user interface is caused to display summaries of a plurality of the additional user profile results across the display. Then the graphical user interface is caused to render a button that, when selected by the viewer of the graphical user interface, causes a communication to be generated and sent to each of the displayed additional user profile results.

Furthermore, in response to receiving a selection of the user interface element for a member of the one or more of the member profiles, the system populates a message template based on features of the hiring organization and the role. The system also sends a message including the message template to a member of the member profile.

Lactis NCC2818 to healthy young mammals during the critical weaning period (in infants this period is usually from about 3 months to about 12, 18 or 24 months old), so as to accelerate the young mammal's adaptation to new food. The effectiveness of the invention is evidenced herein by morphological and immunological changes observed in a piglet animal model of weaning. Thus, administration of the probiotic according to the invention had a prophylactic effect, preventing the severe discomfort and pathological states associated with the introduction to novel foods during the weaning period.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method of reclaiming a disk substrate. The cost of reclaiming a disk substrate can be lower, and the quality higher, than making a new one from a blank. A layer of a data storage disk is stripped, e.g., by acid/oxidizing bath immersion. The stripped disk is polished in a carrier between polishing pads, with the relative velocity of the polishing pads as seen by the disk being precisely controlled so that an equal amount of stock is removed from each side. Preferably, several stripped disks are sorted into groups based on disk thickness, and disks from one of the groups are simultaneously polished in the carrier. Sorting improves stock removal uniformity from disk to disk. The polished disks are cleaned and, preferably, ordered in a cassette for stacking in a storage device based on disk thickness to more easily meet a mean center specification.

    Abstract: A distributed client server system for managing and storing digital files includes a digital library and a shared file system, wherein the digital library further includes a library client, a library server including a library catalog, and an object server and wherein the shared file system includes a workstation with a local storage and a shared file server with a shared file storage. The digital library maintains metadata about the files in the shared file system, in a database in the library catalog. The metadata for a file includes different names for different versions of the file and a check-in status flag. A read operation is performed on the shared file system by a user retrieving a file directly from the shared file system. A write operation is performed by the user invoking a digital library application, which in turn changes the status of the flag to “checked-out”. When a file is “checked-out” it can not be edited by any other user.
