Abstract: A safety doorstop device comprising a first pair of recessed walls configured to be joined at one end so that an inner cut angle is formed between the pair of recessed walls; and a doorstop body configured to incorporate the first pair of recessed walls so that a gap formed between a hinged edge of an open door and a door jamb is supported by the doorstop body such that at least one recessed wall contacts at least one of the hinged edge of the open door, the inner edge of the door jamb, and the inner edge of the door frame.
