  • Patent number: 5867747
Abstract: An automatic film processor is provided for developing high resolution, large sheet-format film in such a manner that fluid flow across the film will be uniform during all phases of film production, in order to avoid gradients, ridge lines and streaking sometimes associated with development of high resolution film. The film processor facilitates the uniform application of chemistry to the film by rapidly applying film-developing chemistry to the film, agitating and washing the chemistry over the film and quickly removing the chemistry from the film.

  • Patent number: 5502534
Abstract: A self-contained photo developing machine is provided. The apparatus includes a developing canister which holds the photo processed material on a central shaft, a compact manifold injection structure which infuses the attached canister with the developing solutions, a valving structure which provides the selected developing solutions to the manifold injection structure, a drain assembly which evacuates the used developing solutions from the canister for seperation and recovery of the different chemicals used, and a computer control system which selectively and automatically controls the entire developing process. A radially extending arm is often included to selectively pump the desired chemical from the solution storage tanks to the canister and subsequently evacuate the spent chemicals to an independently selectable solution recovery tank.

  • Patent number: 5023643
Abstract: A photo processor is intended for use with a water source and a liquid disposal system and includes plural solution storage tanks and an elongate processing trough. A liquid-entry manifold is located intermediate the ends of the processing trough adjacent the center thereof and is used to introduce processing solutions and water into the trough. A mechanism is provided for maintaining the photographic material in the central portion of the trough adjacent the liquid-entry manifold. Plural, substantially simultaneously acting exhaust drains are provided for exhausting a liquid from the trough. A liquid delivery system delivers processing solutions from the storage tanks from the trough and also delivers wash water into the trough. A control system is provided to control processor operation and includes a mechanism for adjusting processing time in selected processing steps as a function of the temperature of the processing solution.

  • Patent number: 4708451
Abstract: An apparatus for developing photosensitive material is provided. The apparatus includes a trough for holding fluid and a hollow container for holding film to be processed having a closed condition with the interior closed to light and an open condition with the interior open to fluid flow. A mount for positioning the container within the trough is also included, along with a control which selectively provides fluid flow within the trough and through the container when the container is open to such fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 4126042
Abstract: The junction of a thermocouple is connected to one input of a differential amplifier disposed in a feedback configuration with a voltage-to-current converter for providing a signal current that is a measure of the temperature within a region being monitored by the thermocouple junction. A terminal of the thermocouple outside of the monitored region is directly connected through voltage dividing resistors to the differential amplifier and an active element of the converter to nullify the error introduced by ambient temperature variations.
