  • Patent number: 11730679
Abstract: A system having a syringe and a connector. A proximal end of an outer housing of the connector is a specially designed female Luer element. A distal end of an outer housing of the connector is configured to connect the syringe to a component of a fluid transfer apparatus. The syringe and the connector are configured to be joined together such that they can be swiveled relative to each other around their common longitudinal axis. Once connected together, any attempt to twist the syringe or connector relative to each other in either a counterclockwise direction or a clockwise direction will result in endless swiveling about their common longitudinal axis. In other words, once the system is connected together, the syringe cannot be disconnected from the connector.

  • Patent number: 11690785
Abstract: A septum holder having a body. The body has a disk shaped annular upper body part and a lower body part, at least one resilient elongated arm terminating with a distal enlarged element attached to the side of the body, and a septum fitted into the lower body part so that it extends downward parallel to the at least one arm. The septum is made of a single piece of cylindrically shaped resilient material. The upper part of the septum has a diameter larger than the middle part of the septum in order to form a flange that rests on an annular ledge created around the inside of the bottom section of the body when the middle part of septum slides through the open center at the bottom of the bottom section. The lowest part of the septum has a diameter that matches that of a septum in a fluid transfer component. The septum has a cavity created in its middle part into which an insert having at least one bore that functions as the seat of a needle valve is inserted.

  • Patent number: 10398627
Abstract: The invention is a needle valve comprising at least one hollow needle and a seat. The hollow needle is comprised of a smooth surfaced hollow shaft and a port adapted to allow fluid communication between the interior and the exterior of said needle located in the side of the shaft at the distal end close to the tip of said needle. The seat comprises at least one bore adapted to accommodate one of the at least one needles through it. The needle and the bore can move one relatively to the other and the bore is provided in, or is fitted with, resilient material such that the outer diameter of the needle is greater than the inner diameter of at least part of the bore. As a result the passage of the shaft of the needle in the bore creates a closely-matched shaft and sheath, which blocks the passage of fluid through the port.
