  • Publication number: 20080055359
Abstract: A print head has a face (6) presenting an array of nozzle orifices (7) and is configured for mounting a number of associated ejection arrangements, each ejecting droplets of printing fluid through the associated nozzle (8) when activated. The print head includes at least parts of a plurality of reservoir arrangements (27,28) for holding printing fluids to be ejected and a channel arrangement (9,14,15) for supplying a printing fluid from a reservoir arrangement (27,28) to an individual nozzle (8). The print head includes at least one adapter structure (11,13) for releasable connection to a cartridge (4; 16) including a container (5;22) for holding a printing fluid. The adapter structure (11,13) is configured to co-operate with the cartridge (4; 16) to provide a passage between the container (5;22) and channel arrangement upon connection.

  • Publication number: 20070222909
Abstract: A flexible flat panel display which exhibits fabric-like behavior, comprising a substrate (10) formed of an elastomeric material, preferably with a layer of textile material (14) embedded therein. The substrate (10) is arranged and configured so as to have a modulus of elasticity such that the display can be curved over at least two radii of curvature simultaneously and/or stretched in one or more directions under normal working conditions. The resultant display can be incorporated into, for example, clothing and the like. A method of manufacturing a flexible flat panel display is also described.

  • Publication number: 20060254318
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an optical element (69, 149, 171, 203, 225) provided with mutually adjoining optical sub-elements (71, 155, 193, 219, 241) which are mutually arranged in a pattern such as, for example, a microlens array (69, 171, 203) with a two-dimensional orthogonal or hexagonal matrix of spherical lenses (71, 193, 219) or a faceted lens (149, 225) with a two-dimensional orthogonal matrix of facets (155, 241). According to the method, the optical element (69, 149, 171, 203, 225) is manufactured by means of a mould (7, 147) by a replication technique. The mould (7, 147) is manufactured from a ductile metal and is given a mould shape (83, 161) which corresponds to the pattern of sub-elements (71, 155, 193, 219, 241) by means of a die (65, 129) having a die surface (67, 131) which corresponds to the optical sub-element (71, 155, 193, 219, 241) and which is imprinted in the mould (7, 147) with a predetermined force in consecutive positions in accordance with the pattern.
