  • Publication number: 20080189815
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Campsis named ‘TARANTELLA that is characterized by upright compact habit, glossy green leaves, and many reddish-orange flowers to a flowering stem. In combination these traits set ‘TARANTELLA apart from all other existing varieties of Campsis known to the inventor.

  • Patent number: 6125461
Abstract: A system and method for identifying long paths in an integrated circuit are described. An integrated circuit chip is subjected to input test signals of progressively shorter cycle time until the chip fails to produce a correct output. The cycle time of the signal resulting in the failure of the chip is defined as T. A signal having cycle time T'=T+.DELTA.T is then applied to the integrated circuit, where the signal of cycle time T' is known to result in proper operation of the chip. The chip is then observed for switching activity during the period .DELTA.T which occurs beginning at a time T measured from the beginning of the second signal of duration T' until the end of the signal of duration T'. The location of the switching activity is used to identify the path or paths of the circuit that resulted in failure of the chip. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the switching activity is detected using an optical measurement system capable of detecting light generated by transistor switching activity.

  • Patent number: 5362102
Abstract: A clip member supporting an interior trim panel in a vehicle has a projecting pin received in a mount on a structural member of the vehicle so as to hold the trim panel in normally spaced relation from the structural member. Upon impact of a passenger with the trim member during a collision, the projecting pin is forced into the mount to reduce the spacing between the trim member and the structural member while converting impact energy into deformation work.

  • Patent number: 4934736
Abstract: In the particular embodiment described in the specification, a knee-restraining device for vehicles, such as passenger cars, has a hollow-profile support assembly that extends across the entire width of the vehicle under the dashboard. The support assembly consists of two hollow-profile support member joined by interconnecting ends and is attached to the car body at the sides of the vehicle, and a deformation element supported on each hollow-profile support member is flexible and energy-absorbent. To facilitate the simplest possible assembly of such a knee-restraining device in a vehicle that has, for example, a center panel, the hollow-profile support members have cross-sections of such dimensions that the adjacent ends of the support members can be fitted into each other to create a locking connection which can be subsequently disconnected.

  • Patent number: 4179156
Abstract: A vehicle sun roof cover, capable of being displaced open and pivoted open, is provided with a rigid outer top member and an inner panel member. The panel member is made in two portions. When the cover is in its closed position, or displaced open, the two panel portions remain parallel to each other. When the cover is pivoted open, one panel portion pivots with respect to the other panel portion to provide an opening through the panel member.
