  • Patent number: 12092716
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a medical system (100, 300, 500) comprising a processor (104) configured for controlling the medical system and a memory (110) for storing machine executable instructions. Execution of the instructions causes the processor to receive (200) four-dimensional Dixon magnetic resonance image data (122). The four-dimensional Dixon magnetic resonance imaging data is T1 weighted. The four-dimensional Dixon magnetic resonance image data is synchronized to a respiratory signal (124). Execution of the instructions further causes the processor to reconstruct (202) synthetic four-dimensional computed tomographic image data (12) from the four-dimensional Dixon magnetic resonance imaging data. The four-dimensional Dixon magnetic resonance imaging data is synchronized to the respiratory signal.

  • Patent number: 11357419
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining whether a structure of interest is within a predefined region of interest. An example embodiment of a method includes applying a multiband magnetic resonance imaging sequence in order to simultaneously acquire a first slice of magnetic resonance data from a first slice location and a second slice of magnetic resonance data from a second and different slice location. The first slice is positioned near a first side of the region of interest and the second slice is positioned near a second side of the region of interest. The method further includes determining based on the first and second slice of magnetic resonance data and prior knowledge about at least one of the structure of interest and its surroundings whether the structure of interest is within the region of interest.

  • Publication number: 20080214924
Abstract: A magnetic resonance (MR) imaging (MRI) system (101) comprising a magnet system (102) for acquiring MR spectroscopic data from an object of interest (103) comprised within a polarizing magnetic field is described, wherein the MRI system (101) comprises multiple pole faces (104) for generating the polarizing magnetic field. The multiple pole faces (104) provide a gap into which the object of interest (103), for example, a human patient or a dummy or an imaging phantom may be introduced. The gap is typically large enough to allow interventional procedures to be performed in between the pole faces (104) of the magnet (102).

  • Patent number: 7199585
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for shimming a main magnetic field in a magnetic resonance device. The method comprises the steps of generating at least one spatially selective radio frequency pulse (RF) for exciting nuclear spin magnetization within a restricted region of the examination volume of the magnetic resonance device, acquiring a magnetic resonance signal (ES) that is sensitive to the homogeneity of the main magnetic field, and applying electric currents (SZ, SX, SY) to a shim coil arrangement of the magnetic resonance device such that the main magnetic field is adjusted in accordance to the properties of the acquired magnetic resonance signal (ES).
