Abstract: A method for managing a document at a mobile device having a user interface screen, the mobile device being arranged for a wireless connection to a reproduction unit and loaded with a mobile application for sending documents to the reproduction unit, includes opening the document by the mobile application at most a complete desktop area on the user interface screen, storing the document in memory of the mobile device, closing the document by the mobile application at the user interface screen, and automatically showing the document stored by the mobile application at the desktop area by means of a representation after the document is closed. A mobile device is provided for performing the method.

Abstract: A reproduction system includes a printer for printing a print job on receiving material in accordance with a set of values for a plurality of basic settings, a control for controlling the print job in order to print the print job, and a display and activating device for displaying a visual representation of settings for the print job and for activating values of the basic settings for the print job. The control is configured to define a plurality of settings categories each of which is directed to an aspect of the print product and includes a predetermined category option which determines a set of values for a plurality of basic settings, the category options for the settings categories together completely describing the print product. The display and activating device is configured to simultaneously display the complete plurality of settings categories, each settings category showing the corresponding category option.

Abstract: A user interface for a printer has a display, an input system and a control unit. The control unit is configured to present a plurality of operating screens on the display in accordance with navigation instructions input via the input system. One complete operating screen is presented at one time. The control unit is configured to assign a fixed location on a two-dimensional manifold to each operating screen, and, upon a navigation instruction, to animate a movement of the manifold relative to the display, so as to show the selected operating screen on the display.
