  • Publication number: 20150338329
Abstract: An apparatus and method to analyze fluid degradation in a closed system is disclosed. The method includes collection of a sample fluid from the closed system. The sample fluid collected is maintained at a sample fluid pressure, which is substantially equivalent to a pressure of the closed system. Thereafter, a change of a volume of the sample fluid is caused, which generates a change in the sample fluid pressure. A series of sample fluid pressures and volumes of the sample fluid are taken. Next, a bulk modulus of the sample fluid is determined. The bulk modulus of the sample fluid is compared with a baseline bulk modulus. Lastly, the method involves generation of a communication when the bulk modulus of the sample fluid breaches a tolerance.

  • Patent number: 8001457
Abstract: Software that automatically locates and marks specific portions of a document and defines hyperlinks including at least a portion of the marked text. An exemplary implementation, tailored for legal citations, processes the portion of the marked text as a search term, and allows completion of hyperlinks without the necessity of including complete file addresses. This implementation also defines a portion of the hyperlinks based on the cost or time of executing the hyperlink, to reduce the cost or time of executing the hyperlink.

  • Patent number: 7003719
Abstract: On the Internet, millions of documents are electronically linked via embedded hyperlinks. The hyperlinks, which function as network addresses for specific documents, can be selected by a user to “jump” electronically from a document on one computer to a document on another computer. One problem with conventional hyperlinks is that they occasionally become out dated and ineffective, as documents are deleted, for example. Accordingly, the inventors devised software that automatically locates and marks specific portions of a document and defines hyperlinks including at least a portion of the marked text.

  • Patent number: 4374028
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved process for purifying waste water in which a waste water containing contaminants, including dispersed solids, water-immiscible organic materials, and metallic cations, is first introduced to a sedimentation zone to remove water-insoluble materials having a density higher than that of water, then to a flotation zone to separate as an upper layer water-insoluble and water-immiscible materials having densities lower than that of water. The waste water stream is then introduced to an adsorption zone, where activated carbon particles are added to adsorb remaining water-insoluble and water-immiscible materials, following which the solids are removed in a liquid-solids separation zone. The aqueous phase from the last zone is then passed through a cation exchange zone to remove cations.
